Pros: Outstanding glove for a pitcher, outfielder, or 3rd base (13U), for under $200. Medium break in time. Pedroia fit is perfect for my 12 yr old son. (He wears an adult small batting glove to give you a frame of reference.)

Cons: none

Pros: Perfect glove for any serious ball player. High quality leather, but a quick break in time are the two things that make this glove the best. Wilson makes great gloves!

Wow! Brooklyn dad parent

Pros: This glove is everything so far. as soon as I took the glove out of the box, the smell of "good leather" hit me instantaniously. some kids on my sons team have the A2000 gloves and i must say, it is the same exact feel. adult snug, Pedroia fit and all. The only thing didferent so far is the price. Can't wait to use it in a game. Actually having fun breaking it in as we speak.

Cons: Now my soon to be 12 year old wants this in a 1st basemens glove.

Great glove. Great price. Delivered fast. Gabe's Mom parent

Pros: My son is a fan of Wilson gloves. Took a long time to find a good glove for a left handed player. I was very impressed at how quick it was delivered without paying extra fees. Ordered on a saturday, was at my doorstep on Monday.

Pros: Bought glove for my 14yo son. He was using it in a game within a day of receiving it. Probably a little too quick without enough break-in, but still worked like a charm. He loves the feel and fit of the glove.

Pros: 12yo outfielder/pitcher, fits perfectly. My son just loves this glove. He started using it in games the day after he got it. Total pro quality. If you want a pro glove and have smaller hands this is the glove. It's about six months old now and he plays on two teams and it's still like new. Top notch.

Cons: Not a one...

Me

Pros: Very nice glove, quick break in time, lightweight. Great for young outfielders

Cons: Gets floppy very fast, leather is not as durable as an a2000 or a2k. (But for the price, its reasonable)

Great slow pitch glove Chelsea Player

Pros: As a female who grew up playing fast pitch it was finally time to get a new glove. I opted for the A1K because it’s a perfect fit for a smaller hand. It has a soft feel with a quick break in period. I’ve had a lot of compliments on this glove especially by my male teammates. A lot of reviews call this a youth glove. Don’t let that deter you from at least trying it on. The pocket on this glove is great for softball! I prefer a smaller OF glove and this one is perfect st 12.25 in.

Cons: Nonexistent

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A1K Series: A1KBB4OF1225? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Would this be a good glove for a 14U, all around player? vvv
The Wilson A1K Series: A1KBB4OF1225 would be a great utility model for that age of player. 12.25" is a little larger than what middle infielders may use, but it would be just fine for a pitcher/third baseman. It is also only 1/4" shorter than the 12.50" recommendation for that age of outfielder. The A1K models also feature the Pedroia Fit and will be more snug on the player's hand.
Mac
Would this glove be good for a 13 year old outfielder? Cadeneasterling1
The Wilson A1K Series: A1KBB40F1225 is slightly smaller (12.25") than the 12.50" we would recommend for your age, but would be a great glove for an outfielder.
Damon
Would this glove be too small for a 16 year old's hand? Peter Griffin
The Wilson A1K Series: A1KBB4OF1225 is designed to fit smaller hands. If you have normal sized hands, it may be a bit snug.
Tori
What is the difference between the Wilson A1K Series: A1KBB4OF1225 and the Mizuno Classic Pro Soft Future Series: GCP70F Youth? Matt
The Wilson A1K Series: A1KBB4OF1225 and the Mizuno Classic Pro Soft Future Series: GCP70F Youth are both designed for youth hands and feature quick break-in periods. The Mizuno Classic Pro Soft Future has throwback leather and a six finger web. The A1K uses top shelf leather and has a modified T-Web.
Jason
Does this glove come in a right hand thrower? I only see an option for a left hander. cr
The Wilson A1K Series: A1KBB4OF1225 is produced in a Right Hand Thrower option. Our web site is real-time and reflects our current inventory, so we are currently sold out of that option. Typically, current products like this glove are added back to inventory within 2-4 weeks.
Mac
My son currently has a 12" Rawlings REVO and I am looking to upgrade him into a better outfielders glove. He is a big 9 year old (5', 90 lbs). I know the 12" glove he has now is larger than you would recommend for him but it fits him well. Would this A1K be a good set up for him or would you recommend something else? KC Irish
The Wilson A1K Series: A1KBB4OF1225 is an excellent choice. It uses quality leather and will be durable. The A1K has smaller finger stalls to fit a smaller hand. We typically do not recommend a 12.25" for his age and position. The Wilson A1K Series: A1KBB4OTIF would be a better option.
Kara
What is the difference between the A1K Series: BB4OF1225 and the A2K's and A2000's? Anon
The Wilson A1K Series: A1KBB4OF1225 will be built for a player with a smaller hand. It will feature tighter finger stalls and a smaller wrist opening compared to the A2K and A2000 lines. The A2000 Series will be created from Wilson Pro Stock leather. It will feel very stiff and last for many seasons. The A2K Series will feature Wilson's most select leather. It will be hand picked from the top 5% of all of Wilson's hides. It will feel even more stiff than an A2000.
Brandon
Would this glove be good for a 13 year old outfielder? If not, what would be? Mike
The Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4OF1225) would be a good choice for 13 year old outfielder. We would recommend anywhere from a 12.25" to 12.75". You could go in either direction depending on personal preference but anything in between those sizes would be adequate.
Aaron
Wouldn't this glove be a little small for an outfielder? fgghggg
Recommended pattern sizes can differ for the same position depending on the player's age. The 12.25" pattern size of the Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4OF1225) might feel a bit small for a player who is playing in middle school, high school, or beyond. But 12.25" is a good size recommendation for outfielders between the age of 10 and 13. And if the player is comfortable with a smaller glove, they might choose something outside of the recommended sizes.
Mac
i have small hands and play 3rd base in slow pitch softball would this glove be good to use wolverine
The Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB40F1225) is a baseball glove, so it won't have the deep pocket like a softball glove.
Damon
Would you recommend this glove to a Pitcher? Baseball Lover
The more open webbing style and longer pattern of the Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4OF1225) would be more suitable for an outfielder. The Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4B2) would be more suitable for a pitcher but still have a slightly longer design.
Patrick
Is the A1KBB4OF1225 better than the Rawlings Gamer Dual Core Series: GDC1250? Wilson vs. Rawlings
The Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4OF1225) and the Rawlings Gamer Dual Core Series (GDC1250) both use quality leather. They are both very durable. The GDC1250 has more padding. The A1K has a smaller fit.
Kara
How does the craftsmanship of the A1K compare to that of the A2000 and A2K? Nate
The quality of leather on the Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4OF1225) will not be quite as high as on the more premium A2000 or A2K lines but would still be very good and it is still a very well constructed glove.
Patrick
I play on a 12U Elite Team. I am 5'1 and I only play outfield because of my speed. Will this glove be good for me? Wildcat
Yes, the Wilson A1K (A1KBB4OF1225) is a great option for outfield play.
Sean
Is this glove going to be a stiff glove? Will it get floppy after a while? BaseballGod
The Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4OF1225) will have a pretty game ready feel out of the box with only a slightly stiff feel. However, the high quality leather, if taken care of properly, should hold its shape well over time.
Patrick
Is this a good glove for 3rd base and infield? CG
The Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4OF1225) is a 12.25" pattern as well as an outfield model, so it may be too big for your positions. A great option for your positions would be the Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4DP15). Here is a link to that model: http://www.justballgloves.com/product/wilson-a1k-series--a1kbb4dp15/18701/
Tessa
Would this glove be good for a 5' 2", 90 lb. kid with smaller hands? Cash money
Yes, the Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4OF1225) could work for a player at that size. Especially, if they play some outfield or utility positions.
Brandon
Is this glove too small for a 6'1" 160 lbs. player with large hands? Bill
The Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4OF1225) has a smaller wrist opening and narrower finger stalls that might be slightly too small for someone your size with large hands.
Tom
Does it close around a 12 inch softball? robin
The Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4OF1225) is more intended for baseball play but could be broken in to work for softball.
Patrick
I am a freshman in high school and have small hands. I play outfield and use a Mizuno 12.75 inch glove and it is really big. Would this glove be good for me because I like a snugger feel on my glove? Or would it be too small as I grow? twan
The Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4OF1225) will have a more snug fit than most adult model gloves. It is tough to say whether it would become too small as you grow but it would provide a more secure fit for you now. If you buy it from us and it comes in and you do not feel like the fit would work, as long as it is within 100 days of your purchase, you can send it back for an exchange or full refund.
Patrick
Could this glove be used for a 13 year old pitcher with a above average hand size? Sam McLaurin
The Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4OF1225) is designed for a player with small hands so it would probably not be a good fit for a player of that age with large hands.
Patrick
Is this an outfielders mitt? big bird
The Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4OF1225) will be designed as an outfielder's mitt for a pre-high school player. The A1K will be designed with a smaller wrist opening and narrower finger stalls for a player that isn't quite ready to move up to an adult fitting outfielder's mitt in the 12.50" - 13.00" length.
Ben
I am 14 and I am a center fielder. I have smaller hands than most so should I purchase this mitt or an A2000 12.50 inch model? richay
If you have smaller hands, the Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4OF1225) may be a good choice for you. If you order it, get it and try it on and it is not the right fit for you, we have free shipping back for an exchange or refund.
Patrick
I am a current sophomore in high school and I am a center fielder. Would you recommend me getting this glove? Mikey
If you have somewhat smaller hands, the Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4OF1225) would be a great glove for that position. If you have average to above average hand size, you would want a more adult style fit.
Patrick
I am almost 15 years old and I am a sophomore in high school. I play first base but a little bit of left and center field. Would this be a good glove for me to use for the outfield? I have an A2K for first base and it fits pretty well. I am interested in this model because it is cheaper. Do you have any feed back? jake
The Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4OF1225) will have a more snug fit than the A2K line. It has a narrower wrist opening and smaller finger stalls to fit a smaller hand. If the A2K line fits well for you, this glove would typically be too small of a fit.
Patrick
Does this glove come in a left hand throw model? ed
The Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4OF1225) is made in a left handed thrower but we are currently out of stock on that model.
Patrick

Marcus
Would this glor be good for a highschool outfielder with normal sized hands. evan
The Wilson A1K Series: A1KBB4OF1225 would be a great pattern for an outfielder. However, the Pedroia fit will be a little tighter on the hand than the average adult fit glove. This fit will feature tighter finger stalls and a smaller hand opening than the finger stalls and opening on an adult glove.
Nick
What is the difference between the Wilson A1KRB16OF1225 and the Wilson A1KBB4OF1225? HulkPastor
