Description
Wilson A1000 1912 12" Baseball Glove: WBW10013612
Not quite ready for an A2000 or an A2K? No problem! Settle in with an A1000 that is similar to an A2000 or A2K, but is way softer and easier to break in!
Glove Benefits
Wilson builds their A1000 gloves with Full Grain leather that is going to be very soft. The break-in process should be pretty minimal and you can get one of these A1000s ready for game-play in very little time.
Even though the leather is soft on an A1000, you are still getting a glove that received plenty of attention from the Wilson glove builders. Wilson crafts these gloves in the same patterns as they build their A2000s and A2Ks. In regard to position functionality, these A1000 gloves should provide you with the same benefits as the highest-end Wilson gloves being made.
This 1912 presents a unique pattern for a Wilson glove that is not always commonly seen. The 12" length makes it a little longer than most infield gloves, but it is indeed an infield glove. It will work really well for a 3rd Baseman or Shortstop and the single post web adds a great bit of character to the glove.

Nice Youth Glove Aaron Parent
Pros: Got the Rawlings R9 11.75" for my 9yr old son, it was soft & he liked that glove, but he said the ball was stinging his hands a lot. Because I purchased the Glove Assurance I was able to return it & purchased the Wilson A1000. It took a little bit longer to break in than the R9, but still not very long. There is a more palm padding & he really likes this glove!
Cons: None so far
Great Youth Glove Kellen Smith Coach
Pros: Bought this for 10 year old that plays CF and P on travel team. Perfect size for youth outfield, pocket a little deep for infield. Plan on giving time to break in with lots of catch and practice. I’m impressed with the quality of the glove for the price. It’s definitely built to last and much more solid than your average youth glove.
Cons: Not con, just warning. Glove was soft but not game ready for. Needed to spend some time to get the pocket/structure to preference.
Great glove - don't hesitate Raied Stanley Coach
Pros: The glove came ready to play .. within 24 hours of have a catch for 20 mins, it was game ready. The leather of this glove is outstanding, including the stitching. My son just turned 11, with average size hands and this glove was a perfect fit. He plays outfield and made each and every catch. If you're thinking of getting a A2000 or A2K, don't waste your money. This is a perfect glove for an 11 year old who plays club ball or outfield.
Cons: The only con .. if I had to pick one is the wrist insert is a bit large for a young player. I solved this problem by inserting a sweat wrist band - problem solved. I would not get this glove for infield .. too big for infield for 10, 11 or 12 year olds.
