Designed to fit the female hand with a NATURAL feel, the Easton Natural Elite Fastpitch Series is exactly what softball players have been seeking. Made from Oil-Tanned U.S. Steerhide leather, these gloves have been soft-tumbled for a game ready feel right away. Inside, the Natural Elite's narrower fingerstalls are lined Bio-Dri moisture management fabric to keep your hand cool and your glove dry and light. A protective VRS Palm Pad is added to the palm area to disperse the impact of the ball when it hits your glove. If you prefer to catch the ball in the web, the Natural Elite Series makes it easy with its Double Deep Pocket. This palm leather pattern is enlarged with an additional segment between the index and middle finger, creating a large pocket for softball. The Natural Elite Series is further customized to the female players with its smaller hand opening and Ideal Fit System closed back that features an adjustable Velcro wrist strap. Would this fit the hand of a 9 year old female just starting to catch 11" balls? KDH

At 33", the Easton Natural Elite Fastpitch Series: NEFP2000 is better suited for fastpitch softball players around 13 years old and up. A 9 year old player may find this mitt to be a little too big. A better size for a 9 year old fastpitch softball player is a 31.5" or 32" mitt.

The Easton Natural Elite Fastpitch Series: NEFP2000 Catcher's Mitt has a slightly deeper pocket than the Easton Synergy Fastpitch Series: SYFP2000 Catcher's Mitt. It also uses a higher grade of leather.

Is a 33" a good fit for a 12U catcher (12 inch softballs)? My daughter is 12, 5'4" and about 113 lbs. She is currently using a borrowed mitt so I have no idea about the sizing as she is new to this position. nbug

The Easton Natural Elite Fastpitch Series: NEFP2000 Catcher's Mitt will have a very similar fit to the NEFP2000 that your daughter has likely used. Between years, Easton has upgraded the mitt to contain a VRS Palm Pad and the Bio-Dri finger linings to eliminate moisture. But the pattern size and fit on the player's hand should be very comparable.
