What is Trusted Mitt Prep?
We make breaking in your new fielder’s glove or catcher’s mitt easy by skipping the painful, initial softening part. We focus on getting the mitt’s key areas loosened up so you can finish the break-in quickly once it gets to you.
Our Prep Process

Pounding: The leather is pounded by a state-of-the-art machine to ensure softer leather.

Conditioning: After pounding, a thin layer of conditioner is applied to prevent the leather from drying out before delivery.

Prep for Shipping: An oversized wiffle is added to the glove to promote the ideal pocket shape. Rubber bands are then strategically wrapped to make sure the mitt closes properly.
