Pros: The best youth glove on the market. Durable, pro-stock and super-skin are all positives. Only use Wilson A2000 conditioner/grease on this glove for cleaning/break-in.
Cons: None, better than A1000 Showcase's.

Hi. My son is 11 and plays outfield. He can't use a glove bigger than 11.5 - 11.75 with his small hand. He is left handed and plays club ball and little league. I want to get him a good glove and he likes the Wilson A2000, but the infielder is the only one that comes that small. Would that be an appropriate glove for him? If not, what would be? S.

My son is a small 7 year old and I want the best glove for him. I was looking at the A2000, but didn't want it to be to heavy and wanted him to be able to close the glove. He has an 11" Mizuno now that he uses so I would probably need an 11.25. Is the A2000 as just as good of a fit as the A1000? hawk2beat

Can you explain the differences of the Wilson A2000 Superskin Showcase Series models SCDW5SS Youth and SC1787SS Youth? It appears the only difference is the Web pattern, so maybe the question should be can you describe the difference of the two web patterns with regard to performance, weight, break in, position, etc. raybob

About the Brand
A true American icon in the world of sports equipment. This Chicago-based manufacturer of quality gloves began in 1913 as Ashland Manufacturing, which was a subsidiary of the Wilson & Co. meat company. At one point, the enterprise became known as the Thomas E. Wilson Co., taking the name of an early chief executive. In 1931, the name was changed to Wilson Sporting Goods Co.
Wilson makes a variety of baseball gloves and equipment for several different positions, uncluding bats and batting gloves. They are best known for models that include the A2K and A2000, as well as custom gloves. Players such as Clayton Kershaw and Miguel Cabrera have sported Wilson baseball gloves.
