Description

Since its introduction in 1957, the original Wilson A2000 Series has set the standard for premium quality ball gloves. Developed together with engineers, craftsmen and Major League players, the A2000 Series is the ultimate defensive tool. Used on MLB fields since 1998, the A2000 SuperSkin models were developed to be as lightweight as possible, without sacrificing performance or durability. SuperSkin repels moisture and reduces the overall weight of the glove while still being 2x stronger than conventional leather. The SuperSkin models strategically place American Pro Stock leather at certain points to give it even more rugged durability. This durability is enhanced even further with Dual-Welting pre-curved finger design that helps the pocket keep its shape and stay stable. This 34.00 Inch fastpitch catcher's mitt features a Laced FP Closed Web and is ideal for catchers looking for a mitt with the lightest possible play weight. Put millions of hours of passion for excellence in the palm of your hand with a Wilson A2000 SuperSkin glove! Wilson: The Official Glove of Major League Baseball. Free Shipping!

Pros: great protection, awesome "pop" sound, not too heavy, easy to wear a batting glove for extra protection

Cons: hard to break in, finger spaces are a little small, hard to squeeze it

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: FPCM11SS Fastpitch Catcher's Mitt? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

How does the A2000 SuperSkin FPCM11SS compare to the Mizuno GXS31 mitt? My daughter has had a Mizuno for years and loves it but the one she has is a closed web, which she likes. The Mizuno was easy to break-in, almost game ready when it arrived. She is a D3 college catcher. What are your thoughts? Larry
This is a very good mitt and will have a quick break in just like the Mizuno did. This glove has a light weight feel due to the superskin and this will hold it's shape for many seasons. This would be a great choice for a college player.

I'm in a youth league. It's my 2nd year playing softball and I love to play catcher. I am 11 years old. Would you reccomend a glove like this to me? Madi
Yes, a glove like this would be a very good fit for you
John
Is this glove hard? I used a Rawlings Gold Glove and found that the game ready leather isn't for me, just way too soft. Will
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: FPCM11SS is a stiff glove that will be harder than the Rawlings Gold Glove Series.
Tyler
My daughter catches for a very fast and hard throwing pitcher. Her palm and hand get bruised and swollen from the pounding. Sometimes catching her 3 games a day. Which glove would provide the best protection and shock absorption? A2K, A2000, or another? Scott
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (FPCM11SS Fastpitch Catcher's Mitt) would be a great model for her. It will provide a very high quality leather and very high durability. The shock absorption will be very great also.
