I am looking for an outfield glove for my 14u daughter. She really likes the looks of the glove. However, all the research I've done says that an outfield glove should not have a closed web. Is that true? I notice this glove states it's an outfield pattern but has a closed web. Garry

Ultimately, the web style choice comes down to player preference. Some outfielders may like a closed web design while others would like something with an open web. The Wilson A2000 Series (WTA20RF15V125SS) could be used for outfield with success.

For an 11-12 year old player, I think the 12.50" length will be a little large, but if you want something into which she can grow with time, this would be an option to consider. If you wanted to view a smaller A2000 model, you could consider the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (WTA20RF15IF12SS Fastpitch). That glove has a 12.00" length on it and a female fitting (however, no closed webbing for a pitcher).
