Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1781? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Does it play like a 12", or is it true to size? Jake
The Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1781 will run true to size, so it will be right at a 12.25"
Noah
I've never ordered an outfield glove this small. I usually go for a 12 3/4. My biggest concern is it will be too small. Will that half of an inch make a big difference? Josh
The 12.25" Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1781 will make a difference. We recommend using a 12.75" glove such as the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BBELO.
Kara
I'm looking for a glove with great range. But I have really small hands (7.5 inch of circumference). Do you think this glove will be too large for me? Saulo Okada
For a player with smaller hands, the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1781 will be a little too big. For correct sizing check our our glove coach: http://www.justballgloves.com/glove-coach/

I mainly play outfield and pitch, but occasionally play 3rd base. What size and type of glove would you recommend for me? Adam
Based off of your positions, a 12.00" model may be a pretty good size as it is a very universal fit. Most adult outfielders prefer a 12.00" to 12.75" glove, most third basemen typically wear an 11.75" to 12.00" and most pitchers usually wear a 12.00" model. If you play outfield more than the other positions, then you may choose to go with this 12.25" model as there will not be a huge difference. As far as the type, that really comes down personal preference but many pitchers prefer a closed web to hide the ball and outfielders like a basket web, modified-T, or six finger web. Infielders typically go with a modified-T or I Web.

What type of leather does the Wilson A2000 gloves use? Also, do the catchers mitts use the same type of leather? druzick
The Wilson A2000 Series: (A2000BB1781) will incorporate Pro Stock American Steerhide leather. As for the Wilson catcher's mitts, depending on which glove you are looking at, a different type of leather will be used ranging from Ecco leather to Jet Black Top Shelf Leather.
Merritt
Is this glove a stiff glove? Also, is it an outfielders glove? Cam
The Wilson A2000 Series: (A2000BB1781) will incorporate a stiff feel. The Pro Stock American Steerhide will be very protective, and will require a break-in. It is generally preferred by infielders, however, it is also equipped for play in the outfield as well.
Merritt
I like the feeling of infield gloves, but I am going to play outfield this year for high school ball. Can this glove be used for outfield? And can I put two fingers in the pinky stall on this glove? maximus
The Wilson A2000 Series (A2000BB1781) can definitely be used be used if you prefer using a 12.25" length glove in the outfield. Oftentimes, the 12.25" length is usually considered a little smaller for an outfielder once a player gets to high school. In regard to your second question, yes, you will be able to put two fingers in the pinky stall.
Ben
Where is this glove manufactured? Terry
The Wilson A2000 Series (A2000BB1781) is made in Vietnam out of American steerhide leather.
Patrick
My son is 14 years old and is 5'4 and 125 lbs. he plays on a travel team during the summer and spring and is going to play JV baseball next year. He plays a lot of third base and a little bit of middle infield. He also plays in the outfield sometimes. He wants a glove that is a little big on him and will last him for many years. Would this glove fit him for third base, middle infield, and the outfield? B-Rod
This Wilson A2000 Series (A2000BB1781) would be my suggestion if you were looking for a glove to be used at third base, short stop and outfield since it comes with the 12.25" length. If you were interested in a shorter 12.00" model, I might recommend looking at the Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB15ASO). It is typically hard to find one model that will be able to cover all of those positions and usually when players get to high school, they will purchase a model for outfield play and another model for infield play if they are still playing both positions.
Ben
Can I steam this at Dick's Sporting Goods? Mike
We do not recommend that you steam Wilson the A2000 Series: A2000BB1781 or any other glove due to the fact that it does dry out the leather and could cause it to crack.
Cooper
Is this comfortable compared to other uncomfortable A2000's? Mike
If you find other A2000 models to be uncomfortable, I cannot say that there would be a big change in the Wilson A2000 Series (A2000BB1781). They are all somewhat similar in style.
Patrick
Can I use this glove for infield and outfield play? I play outfield and third base. micah baseball
At 12.25", the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1781 would be best served for outfield use. Typically, we see players who bounce between the infield and outfield go with a 12.00" glove.
Marcus
I need a glove around 12-12.25 inches because I want to play infield and outfield. I would like it to have a brown color. What is a good glove for this? John
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB15CJW) would be a very nice option for what you are looking for.
