Pros: GREAT GLOVE...LOVE THE WOVEN WEB! VERY DURABLE AND THE PERFECT LENGTH
Cons:

Pros: Big and easy to break in. Got it on a Thursday, used it on Saturday and have been loving it ever since!! Great mitt.
Cons: No padding!!
Joey
Pros: My parents gave me this glove for Christmas. My Dad put 2 applications of Nokona condition cream on it 2 weeks before Christmas. It took only 2 weeks to completely break it in. This glove is amazing! I'm 15, and it's the best glove I've ever owned. Joey Chandler, Ft Worth, TX
Cons: no cons

Pros: This is a wonderfully crafted glove. It is surprisingly supple. The other reviews talked about the long glove break-in time. I followed the steps on this website for break-in and this glove was ready in less then a month. This glove looks great as well. I wish I was as good of a ball player as this glove makes me feel.
Cons: One con, the price. This glove is pricey. As long as it last me for several seasons, it won't be a problem. But if it doesn't - then it is a lot to pay. So far the glove is holding up fine. But I bought it at the end of last season.
Jo
Pros: High quality leather. Rugged and thick leather stitching. Large pocket. Excellent value.
Cons: not much does require breaking in.
Jess
Pros: Best glove I've ever owned, and at 40 years old, I've owned a few. I have big hands and the 13 in. model fits perfectly. I absolutely love this glove.
Cons: No Cons

Pros: WOW! Exellent glove. Shipped to my house super fast. This glove is big enough for slow pitch softball!
Cons: none
Smitty
Pros: Wonderful mitt. leather was supple and and craftsmanship excellent
Cons: I had to send the mitt back. The adjustment at the wrist did not go tight enough for my wrist and the glove was too big. I wish they made a 12.5 in this mitt
reconmedic23
Pros: quick service, very good glove, this is the second nokona glove that i have, and im very happy with both, easy adjustment, for smaller hand, break in time wasent bad, right at 500 catches in fast pitch softball machine, bout 65mph,2 conditioner applications, and some minor lace adjustments to pocket, and its game ready three weeks for me.
Cons: pocket was a tad tight, took some work to get it to losen up,but nothing major. could use some padding,in the thumb, and the finger areas would make this glove better.
Munoz
Pros: Simply a massive glove. Bought it while I played first base for a couple weeks. It can catch anything over or under your head it is so large. Has a nice adjustable strap to fit anyone's hand. Great glove
Cons: Nada
Stretch
Pros: Made in The USA, SUPPORT THE HOME TEAM BUY AMERICAN! Great Glove for Big Hands.
Cons: Zero.

Pros: Got this to replace my trusty Cooper. It's a well-made, heavily-built, and good looking mitt. Substantial wrist strap keeps the glove in place. Superior in every way to the Nokona Buckaroo (which I returned for this model). Thanks to JustBallGloves for make the swap easy.
Cons: Very minor. I'd prefer a little padding on the wrist strap and inner-back of the glove. Break-in goes well if you are willing to sit on it all day at work for a week or so — which, sadly, I am.

Pros: This mitt is absolutely gorgeous, exceeding all expectations. When I put the mitt in my son's hands, his response was just, "Oh, yeah. This is the one." The leather and the craftsmanship are eye-catching, and we love that the product was made in the USA. We were new to the Nokano brand, but were hooked as soon as we took this mitt out of the box.
Cons: None to date. Still breaking in the mitt (which has been rather easy with the JustBallGloves glove care kit), so it hasn't seen game time yet.
Unhappy
Pros: Quality
Cons: Other than being well made I have nothing good to say about this glove. Purchased in Oct 2012, Very stiff glove. After 7 months of break in time the pocket would still not form correctly. My son is a varsity & Legion baseball pitcher, and first baseman. He could not use this glove at all, and had to borrow other teamates gloves to play. Nokona had us send it back. They added padding and re-laced it. It didn't change a thing. This glove might be good for softball but NOT baseball.

Pros: I bought it and I have been practicing with it a lot and it is almost broken in. It is very easy to break in. It has good padding on your palm. The webbing is very durable and sturdy. I recommend this glove 100%
Cons: Nothing bad a out the glove so far.
awesomegloveman
Pros: It is a great glove for the price. I would really recommend buying this glove. It took 2 treatments with nokona glove oil to break in. I like it because its durable and will hold up for a long while.
Cons: If you put too much oil on the glove, it can become heavy recommend doing 1 treatment and breaking it by playing catch
J Wilson
Pros: High quality leather, good stitch work.
Cons: I'm a softball player, and youth baseball coach. This sounded like the perfect hybrid glove, but it just isn't very comfortable. It's also the size of a clown shoe. Very unwieldy.
Moongate
Pros: The leather and the quality of construction are top-notch. The leather is a beautiful color and smells just great. I also love that it is American-made.
Cons: The glove has a few design flaws which prevent a five-star rating. The leather has a waxy finish, which unfortunately is present on the inside of the glove as well, including the thumb loop making it very slick. There is no padding in the wrist strap; only a suede flap. When you snug the Velcro wrist strap, you can feel the finger/thumb seams through the suede (especially the thumb). I solved the issue by tucking a thin sponge pad under the suede flap, but a wool pad would be much better. Also, there is a suede patch about halfway up the ring finger sleeve; not sure why it is there, as none of the other finger sleeves have this. It just feels weird.
James
Pros: Solid feeling glove. Strong heavy leather and seems to be constructed very well. I purchased the A2000, shoe-less Joe and this glove to try them all out. The shoeless felt small even though it said 13 inch. It was by far the softest glove of the group. The A2000 felt stiff and a little thin when we played catch. If the ball hit the hard and not the pocket there was a defiant sting to it. I think that glove would have worked just fine but I choose the Nokona. This is a still glove and will require some time to break it in. I have had it for almost a week and played catch with it 4 or so times and its already softening up very nicely. I dropped a few balls as it breaks in but that number gets smaller the softer it gets. I have oiled it twice and will update if my opinion changes at all.
Cons: It is still and will take a few weeks to break it in.
Great glove. But.... Scuba200ft parent
Pros: I am Nokona biased. We own 5 in this household. 13 yr old 5"8 daughter plays first base on high end Fp. Really wanted this glove to work for her, but the hand stall is absolutely enormous. i am 6"4 and its almost too big for me. The glove is wonderful however. Typical Nokona.
Cons: No cons really. Just dont even begin to believe this will fit any girls hand. No chance. My daughter is a big kid.
SMITTYS94
Pros: IT TOOK MY SON 1 WEEK TO GET THIS GLOVE WORKED IN! FEELS STURDY AND VERY DURABLE! MY SON LOVES IT!!
Cons: CAN'T THINK OF A NEGATIVE THING TO SAY ABOUT THIS GLOVE
cruznpa
Pros: This is an awesome mitt. I haven't had a 1st base mitt since I was like 15 years old. The mitt is a good size for softball. The leather is really nice and can easily be broken in quickly. I purchased this mitt and received it last Wed. I began to massage, bend and tie it up with a softball and I played with it on Saturday. It still need a little more work but not much. I HIGHLY recommend this mitt.
Cons: The strap on the back surprised me. The way the strap is stitched, the strap cannot be tighted much. The back is an open back with 2 pieces if leather that overlap underneath the strap. If you overlap the leather one way, it's obstructed by the D ring. If you overlap the leather the other way, it's obstructed by the stitching preventing tightening. I sent and Email to the Nokona company describing the above and they are looking into it and will get back to me this week. I will update upon response from Nokona.
zephyr34
Pros: I got this glove mid season after my old Rawlings gave out on me. It worked some wonders for me at first base. Game ready in under a week! After wrapping this season up i would highly recommend this glove to fellow first basemen.
Cons: strap on back feels pretty bad at first but after breaking it in i dont even notice
Scott Kieso
Pros: This is a great glove. I enjoyed using it to catch baseballs.
Cons: None at all.
joe
Pros: My son is 13 and he loves this glove. You can tell it is very well made. the leather is very workable and we had it steamed right after we got it and oiled it and is already broke in and have been using it. It is fairly light weight as well.
Cons:

Pros: Great glove bought one for each daughter. Ages 13 and 10 both love them.
Cons: non

Pros: Good glove the first year and half I used it. Very durable. The glove is very thin but has enough padding to last. I've used it in high school baseball for 3 years now and I think its time to set it down.
Cons: This glove is very heavy. If you don't have big hands don't consider this glove. The leather creates bad creases which will make the ball pop out over time. The glove is hard to back hand pick balls at first.
Nokona Walnut Series N80W First Base Mitt Grant Leighty parent
Pros: This glove's break in time was awesome. it was game ready in three days. I worked it for three days and on the third day my son was using it in a game. My son love the glove and has played very well with it.
Cons: It was slighty big for him as a fresman, but it has not been a pronlem and leaves room to grow.
Nokona 1st Base Audrey Joy - SLP Minny player
Pros: High Quality. You can tell it was made with pride. I play softball all year around and my last two gloves have been purchased through justballgloves.
Cons: An old school glove that takes some effort to break in. Not sure if thats a con though. It makes you feel more respect towards your equipment.
Nokona first base C parent
Pros: Love Nokona
Cons: This glove isn't a 13 inch as it says in yhe description, but a 14 inch.

Top Quality Tom Player
Pros: Nice big pocket, top quality leather and only needed a little bit of work to get it game ready. I have owned many gloves and this is the best one yet. I spent many hours looking for a good quality first baseman's mitt and was lucky to get the right one the first time. Nokona's workmanship is top of the line. You can't go wrong with Nokona's money back guarantee.
Cons: None so far
Great fit. Carmen Villalobos Parent
Pros: Fits good Looks good Gonna last a long time
Cons: None
Great Glove, a little large Seth Roecker Coach
Pros: Surprisingly easy to break in, yet stiff enough. Used in games 2-3 weeks after it arrived. Leather quality is great. Large enough to swallow 12” softballs.
Cons: The hand hole and finger pockets are huge. We have the adjustable strap pulled beyond a normal position and it’s still loose. My 12 yo daughter can handle it, but it’s probably best suited for a large 14+ yo.
Love it! Andrea Parent
Pros: Very high quality Breaks in fast Great size Fits my 12 yr old son.
Cons: Haven’t seen any yet
Good mitt Steve Coach
Pros: same great quality of Nokona products. Fast delivery.
Cons: really big. Okay for me, still too big for my 14 year old who is 5'9.
Awesome glove! Jesus Cortez Player
Pros: Break in period was fast. Game ready in about a week.
Cons: Hand pocket is huge! Have to wear batting glove to help glove fit better.
Feels Good, Looks Good! James Tansen Player
Pros: I'll use it for slowpitch softball. Although I haven't had a chance to use it in a game yet due to this pandemic, I have played catch with it. It has a great fit and feels secure on my hand. The leather is soft yet stiff and seems to form very well to create a nice pocket to fit the ball. Best of all it's made in the USA.
Cons: I haven't had a chance to use it in a game so I can't comment on its game performance, but just playing catch I have no complaints. The only "con" I would name would be the price. Its a bit pricey for a city league softball glove but hopefully it'll be the last glove I'll need to purchase.

I catch men’s majors fastpitch. I’m 6’-2” 230 with big hands. Will this glove be suitable & fit? About the Brand
Joe Phillips writes about his visit to Nokona. It was like sitting in at the plantation party in Gone with the Wind or maybe gazing from the grandstand at the “Field of Dreams” while the Black Sox players tried to work out their idled muscle kinks. And, I was gently reminded by the lines in that movie while I dug into a delicious plate of North Texas barbecue: “threshing crews eating at outdoor tables. It continually reminds us of what once was, like an Indian-head penny in a handful of new coins. . . You talk a good dream.” And here I was. . . graciously invited into this magical and charming “Field of Glove-Making Dreams” in former Comanche Indian land at Nocona, Texas. It was a warm August evening, basked in a golden harvest moon, while friends and the Nokona family paid its kindly southern regards to two of their own and two of America’s finest but relatively obscure glove makers, Bobby Storey and Elvin Ray “Ab” Lemons. You see, the pair had just completed fifty years of time-honored employment with Nocona Athletic Goods, the last of the all-American made ball glove company's. The occasion brought echoes of past successes and human contentment, but in Nocona today you still experience much the same American texture of yesterday and perhaps a glimpse into tomorrow as well.
The two stately gentlemen were being honored in a way that could have taken place in the same manner when they first reported for full-time work at Nokona, in 1952, or back even earlier, in 1933 when the company started making sports equipment. During a brief and informal presentation at the celebration, Nokona’s new sales manager called the two glove makers “Legends - because that’s what their ball gloves stood for, American know-how and pride taken in a best-made product.”
A man of few words but a marveled craftsman who could literally conjure a sows ear into a playable baseball mitt, Mr. Lemons got up and fondly recalled the several men he worked with through his half-century and of the training that had been passed along to him from his old bosses.
His counter part and just as talented, Bobby Storey, had filled in at just about every job at Nokona. Bobby, the son of the sporting goods founder, R.E. “Bob” Storey had most recently served as president and now chairman of the board of Nokona. Though past retirement age like Mr. Lemons, he’s now serving at one of his favorite roles, that of ball glove designer.
At a time for employment in this country when five years is considered a long tenure with the same company, Ab and Bobby are not even the first to complete a half-century journey with Nocona Athletics. The now deceased Jewell Brickey, hit that milestone in 1993, after joining the company during World War II. That’s the kind of devotion that employees forge into this glove-making outfit. A devoted and sustained tenure here is not rare. Last year the company advertising, displayed along with Storey and Lemons, three other employees who had garnered 40 years with Nokona, Warren Clary, Bud Meekins, and Melvin Weedin.“
I don’t have to tell you that the one constant through all the years has been baseball”, wrote W.P. Kinsella. And the most constant of ball glove makers has been Nokona, and the men and women there who keep alive the tradition of American craftsmanship of ball glove making. The spirit of glove-making is still alive and well in Nocona, Texas.
