Pros: Ordered this glove for my 7 yr old son and it is perfect. I was worried about it being stiff like most Catchers Mitts when they are new. It is broken in just enough for him right out of the box. Great buy for the price. I will be ordering all his gloves from this company from here on out.

Pros: My son loved it and it looks awesome. Feel just right and he was able to use it with minimal break in.

Cons: So far this is not an issue but I worry about the white areas getting filthy dirty. We'll see.

Pros: Bought this for my 7 year old and it is very lightweight, fits his hand well, and overall exactly what I was looking for. Very well made for the price. I would recommend. Also want to say thanks to the justballgloves staff the person I spoke with was very knowledgable and helped me decide between a couple models I was looking at.

HolmTeam

Pros: Light. Super light. This is the reason why I gave this glove a chance. Bad idea. $60 bad idea.

Cons: I got this glove because of the rave reviews. Uh, No! Do NOT be fooled. This glove is pigskin, and pleather. Yes, plastic fake leather. I can deal with pigskin at such a young age to make it light, but I can not abide by a glove made of pleather. I have yet to give it to him. Waste of money. T-Ball catchers only.

Buyer Beware!!!! Holm Team coach

Pros: Light glove. Super Light.

Cons: Pleather!!!! Yes. this glove is made out of pigskin and pleather. Plastic/ Leather. Bot the best choice for a tough as nails 8 year old who catches 10U club ball.

Travel Ball Junky

Pros: The glove did not have any appearance defects upon delivery.

Cons: This glove is either poorly designed or poorly manufactured. 1) It has bad pocket (with a ball in the glove, the glove cannot be closed such that the ball is secure and can't pop out easily -- a death grip is required to keep the ball from escaping). I lengthened the lacing across the middle of the pocket to make it deeper, but still can't enclose a ball because the mit itself is just not deep enough. 2) It is incrediblby stiff. An entire season of travel ball was not enough to loosen it. We've never had this problem with a leather glove.

how about for a 12 year old fastest skater
This particular model could work for 12 year old. That depends on the size of the player. However, based on our 'Glove Coach' resource from the website, an average catcher's mitt size for a 12 year old player is 32.00 Inch.
Jeff
will this glove fit a 9 & 10 yr old Stuart
We recommend a 31.50" for a nine or ten year old.
Kara
Will this glove fit a 12 year old? mp245
The Glovesmith G-Pro Series: GP3102W Youth Catchers Mitt is a 31" model that is more common among players 10 years old and younger. It should still fit a 12 year old, but a more common size for that age is 32" or 32.5".
Tyler
What size would u say fits a 14 year old? Jhonny Bench 2nd
The Glovesmith G-Pro Series: GP3102W Youth Catchers Mitt may be small for the player at 31.00". Based on age, we would recommend a 32.00" or 32.50" Catcher's mitt. For further information on sizing, please visit our Glove Coach at http://www.ballglovewarehouse.com/glove-coach/

Which glove is better, this one, or the Louisville Slugger Genesis 1884 Series: GENYCM. Looking for a lightweight glove and easy to break in for 7 year old. ang4jesus
Both gloves will have a very similar break in period, but the Louisville Slugger Genesis 1884 Series: GENYCM Youth Catcher's Mitt will be higher in leather quality.
Noah
What is the possibility of getting more of these in stock for 2014? A.J.
We are getting more of the Glovesmith G-Pro Series: GP3102W Youth Catchers Mitt soon. It could be anywhere from 2-4 weeks time.
Brandon
I am 12 years old, and I have a skinny/small hand. Will this glove work for me? Colman
The Glovesmith G-Pro Series: GP3102W Youth Catchers Mitt would probably fit well on your hand if it is on the small-side, but the pattern size may be smaller than you would like. We typically recommend a 32.00" catcher's mitt for a 12 year old, and this mitt is a 31.00" model. It depends on what you are comfortable with in the end.
Mac
I saw in your video that an adult's hand fits completely inside this glove. Does it have large finger stalls? I am looking for something for my 6 and a half year old little travel ball player and all I am reading is that a 31.5 inch mitt would be too big for him. Are there any 31.5 inch gloves that you recommend for his age? Carlos D
The Glovesmith G-Pro Series (GP3102W) was able to fit on the Customer Coach in the video's hand but it is more ideally suited for a youth hand. It will have a smaller wrist opening and smaller finger stalls. It would be a good size and design for a player of that age. The Akadema Rookie Series (ADS90-12) would be a 31.5 inch design that should work for a player of his age.
Patrick
I am 14 years old, what is a good glove size for me? erik
We would suggest looking at an adult model for a 14 year old, and we would recommend a 32.00 inch catchers mitt. The Glovesmith G-Pro Series (GP3102W Youth Catcher's Mitt) is recommended for age 12 and younger.
Frankie
I have a 5 1/2 year old who was picked to play and has been playing now for months in 7 year old club ball. He is small as most 5 year olds are and used a fielders glove right now. He wants a catchers glove, suggestions, small hand. He has been playing league ball since he was three. Reese
The Glovesmith G-Pro Series: GP3102W Youth Catcher's Mitt is going to be the perfect mitt for someone of your player's age. This particular model features a 31.00 inch pattern and is ideal for beginning ball players.
