Description

The new Professional Series gloves from Easton are the product of quality craftsmanship and are meant to be worn by serious ball players. These gloves start out as high quality USA steer hide and are Japanese tanned into professional grade Okayama leather. The result is a soft, smooth, and incredibly durable ball glove. The inside of these gloves is made from Pro Fit steer hide which is built soft for comfort, yet strong for the rigors of professional level play. The gloves are held together by professional grade USA-tanned rawhide lace that is tested to a tensile strength of 100 lbs! That means that the chance of the laces on these gloves breaking is slim to none. This is a glove that will last for many seasons to come. This 11.50 Inch model features a welted single post web and is ideal for infielders. With a conventional open back and shallow pocket, this glove will provide players with ultimate control in the field. Easton: Know-Feel-Be The Difference. Free Shipping!

About how long should it take to break in this glove and what is the best method to break it in? Revsboy6
This is a high quality glove that will probably take about a week to break in. I would start by applying a small amount of oil to the entire surface of the glove, put a baseball or two in the pocket, wrap it with some rubberbands and let it sit overnight. The next day, start working with it. Repetition is key. Play catch as much as you can, when you're sitting around the house throw a ball into the pocket or use a wooden mallet to hit the pocket to simulate playing catch. When it's not in use, but the baseball(s) back in the pocket and wrap it up. If you do this everyday it should be ready after 5 to 7 days.

Can this glove help my feilding? And is it a glove that will last me 4 yrs of High School and possibly College? Nick
The Easton uses steer hide leather which is one of the strongest and most durable leather out there. It will take some time to break in, but it should last through High School and College.

I hear there is a molded pocket, is it true? Nick
It doesn't come molded, but if you put a ball in the glove and wrap it in rubber bands, it should mold well.

How does this glove compare to the Wilson A2000 line? Josh
The Easton Professional Series: EPG453WB is made with a strong durable steer hide leather, but the Wilson A2000 Series will be even more durable and have a better feel.
