Generally, a 11.5 inch glove is recommended for a 10 or 11 year old who plays all positions. If he's primarily an outfielder, a 12 inch glove should work great. If he's strictly an infielder, I would look at an 11 or 11.25 inch glove. Nokona makes high quality gloves and any of their gloves would be great options.

They'll be pretty similar. The Kimera will feel a little softer, but both will be very durable gloves. Buckaroo is made from Walnut Cowhide and Kangaroo leather. Kimera is made from Kangaroo and Horween leather.

I think a 12 inch glove would work great for him. He shouldn't have a problem with this glove at either position.

Deciding between an open/closed-wrist glove is completely a personal preference, but I can say that most infielders prefer the open-wrist to help with flexibility. The size of your glove is mostly based on two factors, age and position. On average, players in the infield like to have sizes anywhere between 11.50 - 12.00 inch.

not to sound stupid but how do you measure a glove, I want to buy a new glove for my grandson and I am thinking of getting a Nokona for him he is 12 yrs.old and the glove he has now seams small on him. Thank you Bob Stupid
Take a soft, flexible tape measure and measure from the tip of the index finger on the glove down to the very bottom (heel) of the glove. Make sure the flexible tape measure runs along the contour of the inside of the glove (it must be pressed against the surface of the leather). This will give you the glove's measurement. It's typical for gloves to measure a little smaller than advertised as the break-in process often makes them measure a bit smaller.

This can be used for baseball or softball. However, it has a standard size pocket and may be easier to use in baseball. It has a closed web and would make a very good glove for a pitcher.

I would highly recommend the Tribal Series AMG1200TRMT for use on the mound and 3rd base. The tribal series is a great glove. It uses high quality leather that will hold its shape well over time.

All fastpitch gloves on our website will say 'fastpitch' in the name of the glove. All of the ones that do not say this in the name of the glove will be a baseball glove. Baseball gloves will have smaller pockets than fastpitch gloves.

All fastpitch softball gloves will have the word "fastpitch" in the product name. This glove is not designed as a true fastpitch glove, but there is nothing that says it can't be used as such. Yes, this would be a good glove for you in the outfield. Most outfielders use 12.00-12.50 inch gloves. This is going to be a glove that is durable walnut cowhide and buckaroo leather.

For a 13 year old, a 12 to 12.5 inch glove is most common in the outfield. This would be a good option for you at this time. Most High Schoolers use a 12.5 or 12.75 glove in the outfield. If you plan on using your glove throughout High School, you may want to look at a 12.5 inch glove.

I would recommend a 11.75-12.25 inch fastpitch glove. All of out fastpitch gloves will be indicated with fastpitch in the name of the glove. This glove would work, but it does have a smaller pocket and the hand stall might be a little bigger because most use this glove for baseball.

We do not have that type of web in the Kimera, we do have that style in the Walnut, Tribal and Bloodline series.

My son is currently 8 years old (turns 9 in February) and will play on a 9U travel team this spring. He is 4'9" / 100 lbs with pretty good sized hands for his age, and will likely play outfield & pitcher. Will this glove work for a player his age or should I be looking for a youth model? You can never go wrong with Nokona, awesome gloves. Nokona tends to run a tiny bit on the small side, so I wouldn't worry about a youth glove. Also, the Kangaroo is the lightest weight leather there is, great for infielders.
