The Select Series is constructed from a supple Light Oil Tanned leather, this allows for a shorter break-in period. Light Oil Tanned leathers, undergo a special milling process at the tannery to help break-in the leather. Because the Select Series is produced using our micro cell production we are able to offer unmatched attention to detail. You can be assured that each Select is constructed with genuine Oil Tanned Steerhide shells, Deer Tanned Steerhide linings, and 1/4" lacing in the webs & fingers tops. The Select Series gloves also get triple stitched back welt, plastic reinforced pro padding, palm pads, and proprietary pocket grease. The Select Series is for the serious player who wants the traditional quality of a Glovesmith glove.

I just ordered a customized Glove Smith Select Series glove, and I was wondering about the leather, because I know people who have had glove smith gloves, but I've never felt the leather. I was just wondering if it was durable, and maybe if there were any other gloves out there on the market that you could compare the leather to? Thank you BFRESH13
The Glovesmith Select Series is made from standard (but good quality) cowhide leather. It will have average to slightly above avearage durablity and will be similar in quality to the Reebok Premier Series, Akadema Pro Soft Series, and Wilson A1000 Series.

This would be a great choice for an 11 year old who plays infield and outfield. Glovesmith gloves fit true to size and he shouldn't have a problem with the fit.
