Pros: Good quality leather. Easy to break in. Fits and looks good; my son loves it

Cons: It's not as padded in the palm as the other Akadema's that we have had before. I guess they are just like every manufacturing company, rolling out cost savings initiatives and cut corners. Just wish they made it like the some of the first ones come out with.

Pros: Soft feel, easy to break in, holds its shape very well.

Cons: after 10 months of use the strap fell off of the glove. Other than that great glove.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Akadema Pro Soft Series: AGR215? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

My son is ten and has average size hands, plays mostly second, but some short and third as well. Is this a good glove for him??? He is on a AAA comp team and I feel its time he has an infielders glove, but cant seem to bring myself to drop 200 or 300 dollars on a glove for a 10 year old boy. JR
This would be a very good glove for him. Most infielders use a glove between 11.00-11.50. This glove will work well for him.

I'm 16 and play SS, 3B, and 2B but mostly the left side of the infield. is this a good glove for me? NDBaseball16
For a 16 year old middle infielder, I would probably recommend an 11.25 inch glove. For a 16 year old thrid baseman, I would recommend an 11.5 inch glove. Basically, I think this would work great wherever you play in the infield.
JH
my son plays both middle infield positions and pitches some on a u12 travel team. he's not one of the monsters you see playing in the LL WS but average size for his age. would you recommend this glove for him? thanks. jk
The Akadema Pro Soft Series has an I-Web design which is a good in-field glove. Pitchers usually prefer a closed web design so the batter cannot see the positioning of the ball. Another Akadema glove is the AGM209 which is a closed web and would work good for all his positions.
Kara
Yes, this would be a great glove for a middle infielder/ pitcher. It breaks in easily, and is a good quality glove.

About the Brand

In Akadema's short but remarkable history it has become one of America's hottest baseball and softball equipment company for professional, college, high school, and serious youth players. The Akadema phenomenon started with the Professional Glove Series and continues with the Reptilian®, Praying Mantis®, Pro Soft™ and Prodigy™ Glove Series as well as the Amish Wood™, Tacktion™ and Xtension® Aluminum Bat Series. Akadema's ownership attributes increasing market share to their innovative professional baseball and softball product line in contrast to mass-produced products that have little to do with quality, feel, or design to raise the level of play.

Akadema's products are manufactured for professional players but are now accessible to semi pro, college, high school, and serious youth players. Akadema products are still designed with the professional player in mind but competitively priced for the professional player at heart. So it's your turn to think like a professional, play like a professional, and use Akadema Professional!

Akadema now has both baseball and fastpitch softball advisory staffs that they work with closely to implement new ideas. Members of the baseball advisory staff include Hall of Famers Ozzie Smith and Gary Carter as well as Howard Johnson, Reggie Smith, Luis Polonia, Sandy Martinez and many others. Fastpitch stars that are on the advisory staff include Crystl Bustos and Julie Smith. The input on performance from the advisory staff gives Akadema something they cannot put a price on. Their advisors don’t talk about marketing or places to sell the gloves, they just care about performance.
