This Dri-Lex technology is an ultra-breathable wrist lining that transfers moisture away from the skin, keeping your hand cool and dry. A2000 series gloves also feature the patented Dual-Welting system that offers a pre-curved finger design that helps maintain a stable and durable pocket. The Dual Welting technology is a patented design used exclusively by Wilson in the United States. Super Skin Technology offers twice the strength as normal leathers with half the weight and instant flexibility. All patterns are endlessly field tested and constantly improved by hundreds of professionals and top amateur players. Pros: After spending $50 or so at a clip and ripping through mitts at an incredible pace, I decided to purchase the A2000. You will not be disappointed. Great feel, just the right pocket and the best purchase I have ever made when it comes to gloves! Accept no substitutes. I don't think it will ever feel flimsy.

Cons: I guess you can call it a con... I broke it in naturally (no oils or silly gimmicks) and it took a while, but now my catchers beg me to use it and its held up for 5 years so far, while feeling the same as it did when I first considered it "broken in".

Pros: I am a pitching/catching coach, and catch for many pitchers all week long year-round. After going through a $50 or $70 catcher's mitt each season, I finally broke down and bought the best one out there! If catcher truly is your position, don't spend $300 in mitts over the years, this is the one that will last you through your career, regardless of how far you go. The catchers that I work with love it also. Accept no substitutes. Absolutely the best catchers mitt out there!

Cons: If you want to call it a con... it does take a while to break it in completely, but that's just the result of a professional quality glove and good leather.

what is best way to break this mitt in? had it one season and its getting better however it still isnt forming the pocket i want.. abberz
The best way to form a good pocket is to place a softball in the pocket and wrap the mitt with large rubberbands every time it is not in use. If you've had the glove for a full season already it may be a little difficult to form the pocket you're looking for.

About the Brand

A true American icon in the world of sports equipment. This Chicago-based manufacturer of quality gloves began in 1913 as Ashland Manufacturing, which was a subsidiary of the Wilson & Co. meat company. Wilson makes a variety of baseball gloves and equipment for several different positions, uncluding bats and batting gloves. They are best known for models that include the A2K and A2000, as well as custom gloves. Players such as Clayton Kershaw and Miguel Cabrera have sported Wilson baseball gloves.
