Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000 B2BL? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

does this glove have superskin? Or is it an option? My preference is no superskin in a blond leather, A2000, pticher, left thrower. Mike
This model does not use Wilson's Superskin material and it's not an option. Based on your criteria, this would be an excellent glove.
Mark
This model does not use Wilson's Superskin material. All of Wilson's gloves that have the Superskin will have a "SS" at the end of the model number. Based on your criteria, this would be an excellent glove.
Mark
I'm gonna get this glove but how long does it take to brake in Zachariah
This particular model is made of high-quality leather so a break-in period will be necessary. It won't be as extensive as the toughest leather out there, but a timeframe is based solely on how often you play with it. The more you play the easier it will break in. At this point you can squeeze it together, but shaping the pocket structure will take some time.
Jeff
So i want to get this glove mainly for pitching, but if i happen to play 3rd or anywhere else in the infield, would this glove still work well? Sam
Yes, this glove would be great to use in the infield. This glove has the pattern and size to be ideal for the infield.
Brett
does this glove go on the left hand (right handed thrower) or right hand (left handed thrower) MB3
The option on the left will indicate what options that we have available. A left hand thrower will go on the right hand. A right hand thrower will go on the left hand.
Brett
I currently own an older wilson A1K, and after two seasons the leather in the pocket and the fingers have become floppy and soft. Is this a problem for the A2000 as well, or does it stay stiff for longer? Mark
The A2000 series gloves will have a more stiff feel and will not become as floppy. The A2000 will need some glove oil to help break the glove in and become game ready.
KG
Will it ever return? Johnny
The Wilson A2000 Series: A2000 B2BL is a discontinued model and as such will no longer be produced.

About the Brand

A true American icon in the world of sports equipment. This Chicago-based manufacturer of quality gloves began in 1913 as Ashland Manufacturing, which was a subsidiary of the Wilson & Co. meat company. At one point, the enterprise became known as the Thomas E. Wilson Co., taking the name of an early chief executive. In 1931, the name was changed to Wilson Sporting Goods Co.

Wilson makes a variety of baseball gloves and equipment for several different positions, uncluding bats and batting gloves. They are best known for models that include the A2K and A2000, as well as custom gloves. Players such as Clayton Kershaw and Miguel Cabrera have sported Wilson baseball gloves.
