Pros: if there was a higher rating this glove would have it. I have the A2k a2000 and a rawlings pro prefered none come close to this one. small pocket makes the ball getting in and out smooth and wouldn't have it anyother way. if your a middle infielder you should have this glove it will make you look like a superstar

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000 1788BG? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

How does this glove to the rawlings pro preferred of the same size? chops
Both will be high quality gloves. The leather used in the Pro Preferred series may be of a slightly higher quality making it a little more durable. Both will fit and weigh about the same.
John
how do i prevent a bulging palm crease ?bc i have one and whenever i catch a ball it pops up again shortstoper
A common way to prevent creases, wrinkles or bulges in the palm is to always put a couple of baseballs in the pocket of the glove and wrap it with some rubberbands when it is not in use. This will help the glove form a defined pocket and helps with those annoying creases in the palm.
Sean
How does it compare to the Nokona Bloodline Series? Utility
Quality of the leathers used in both will be very similar to each other, although I may give the Bloodline a slight edge. The 1788BG is a high quality glove though with great durability. The 1788BG will have a bit more padding than the Bloodline.
JH
how long does it take to break in BY
This glove should take a little less than a week to break in. Once the glove is broken on, it will be ready for game use.

About the Brand

A true American icon in the world of sports equipment. This Chicago-based manufacturer of quality gloves began in 1913 as Ashland Manufacturing, which was a subsidiary of the Wilson & Co. meat company. Wilson makes a variety of baseball gloves and equipment for several different positions, uncluding bats and batting gloves. They are best known for models that include the A2K and A2000, as well as custom gloves. Players such as Clayton Kershaw and Miguel Cabrera have sported Wilson baseball gloves.
