Pros: great glove. breaks-in from 3 weeks of use. nice feel. leather is quality. great deal! Mizuno is my baseball brand of choice!

Cons: could be kind of tight to XL and above hand size but I like that compared to my floppy old first basemans mitt.

What is the difference btwn this model and the Mizuno Pro Model GXF22 that sells for $179 Fparsons
The GXF22 is a professional model that will feature a higher quality and more durable leather. Because the GXF22 is made from a higher quality leather, it will be a little more stiff to start with. The GXF55 will be a little more game ready.
Brett
what is the difference between the gxf55 and gxf56 both are mvp series - i notice a pocket difference - not sure of difference Deb
The difference in these two gloves is that the GXF56 is going to have the adjustable strap and the GXF55 is not.
Brett
Is the gxf55 a softball designed glove or can it be used in baseball? conne
This glove can be used for both, that is what it is built for. This glove has a big enough pocket for a softball.
Brett
Does this glove have the bruise guard padding or anything to resist any sting??? Lesa
This glove does not have the bruise guard on the glove. This glove does have a little more padding than normal so that you will not be able to feel the sting as much.
Brett
Do you carry GXF75 First Base Mitt? If so, do you have local dealer I can pick up today or tomorrow? randy
No, we do not have the GXF75 in our inventory.
Linda
It says that it could be tight for a large or extra large hand. Are there adjustments or is there a hardball glove in the same price range and quality as the GXF55? charlie
The MIzuno MVP Series could be used for baseball or softball because of the larger pocket. The laces can be adjusted for a bigger or smaller hand opening.

Having trouble deciding between the Mizuno MVP Series: GXF55 First Base Mitt, and the Shoeless Joe Professional Series:2600 First Base Mitt. Any recommendations? EGoff5
The Mizuno MVP Series: GXF55 First Base Mitt and the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 2600 First Base Mitt would both be great selections. Both Mitts will provide a game ready feel to them from day one. The Mizuno MVP Series will provide a Lightweight Bio-Retro Leather with a Full Grained American Steerhide inner shell. It will also have an Ultra Soft Palm Lining and Single Post Web. The Shoeless Joe Mitt will feature the Tennessee Trapocket Web and will be hand rubbed with Old Time ingredients to soften the leather. It will also have the Game worn look and feel with the Special Aged Antique Tobacco Leather.

It says this Mizuno mitt is 'Pro Sized'. What is the difference between first base mitts Mizumo sells that are Pro sized and 'full size'? What is the advantages of either one? philip
In designing their pro sized gloves, Mizuno asked for feedback from their pro players regarding how they like their mitts to fit, and used that data to design products targeted at serious ball players. Pro sized models will fit just a little bigger than normal and are best for your more experienced players at the High School level and above.
