Pros: Lots of padding, good quality leather. Breaks in quickly. Ordered for 13 year old, but too tight on his hand (average sized kid). So gave it to my 10 year old. Good glove for a small hand.

Is there a way I can find what the weight for a specific glove is? steamer
We do not have the capabilities of weighing gloves or finding out a specific weight of a glove. I would refer you to Mizuno. You can call them at 800-966-1211. But, I will tell you that this glove should be normal in weight when when comparing it to other similar gloves on the market.
Bodie

Jeff
is this a good glove for my brother..... he is 8 years old..... but CAN play ball!!!!! he needs something durable and wants a nokona bloodline but we cant afford it... Dub-V#16
Generally, a 10.5 to 11.5 inch glove is recommended for 8 and 9 year olds. This would give him plenty of room to grow into over the next several seasons. The leather will be in game ready condition and good for a younger player to use.
Jon
what is the period of time that it will take the glove to get to your house after u hace ordered it? holmes345
It depends on where you are located. With our free shipping, we can get the glove to most parts of the U.S. within 2 or 3 business days. If you'd like a more detailed timeframe, you can give us a call at 1-866-321-4568.

i am 19 years old and i play for rutgers..is this glove good for a 19 year old?..meaning its not youth right? Bostonredsox
This is not a youth model, but it does have an adjustable wrist closure to accomodate a wide variety of hand sizes. A 19 year old shouldn't have a problem using this glove.
Brett
i played baseball in my younger years but now i play softball with my gf on a co-ed team. i use a mizuno 12" right now but like this glove. can i use this glove for softball as a shortstop? NATO
You might want to try and move up a little in the size to either a 12" or 12.5".
John
I'm 16 years old and i play for my highschools baseball team, i play pitcher and centerfield, is this glove too small to play outfield as well as pitcher? Kyle
At 11.75", in my opinion, the Mizuno GFN1176 is a little too small for the outfield. I would recommend a glove around 12.25 or 12.5 inches. However, if you prefer a smaller glove in the outfield, this glove would be a good choice.
Tyler
My son just turned 10 but large for his age age 5'4'' 115 lbs. Would this glove be to large or could he get a few years? Plays around 65 games a year and practices year round. Jake
The Mizuno Franchise Series is an adult glove and will be a little large for a ten year old. We recommend the Mizuno MVP Prime Series: GMVP1126P.
Kara
Should I buy this one or the MVP Prime? jacob
The Mizuno MVP Prime series will be a slightly higher quality and more durable leather than is used in the Mizuno Franchise series.
Tom
My son is 13 and is starting Babe Ruth. He will probably play the outfield. Is this glove going to work for him? Concerned
The Mizuno GFN1176 is 11.75", and generally smaller than what is used in the outfield. I would recommend a glove that is 12.25" or 12.5" for that position.
Aubrey
I am 13, 5'6 and 155 pounds. I will pitch, and mainly play 1st and 3rd, but play outfield rarely. would this glove be a good choice? if not, could you tell me of some with this type of webbing? DCDCDCDC
At 11.75", the Mizuno Franchise Series: GFN1176 is a great option for a 13 year old utility player.
Tyler
My son is 12 yrs old. He plays pitcher and 2nd base. According to Dicks sporting goods website, this in an outfielders glove. I wasn't aware of this at the time, but will this glove work for the positions he plays? Christine
The Mizuno Franchise Series, has a Trapeze webbing which is best in use for outfielders and thirdbasemen. Not usually for middle infielders or pitchers.
Chad M.
Will this glove fit a 6'2" 16 year old? rh15
Yes. The Mizuno Franchise Series: GFN1176 is an adult sized model that will work well for a 16 year old ballplayer.
