Mizuno has once again made it their priority to develop the game's most exclusive line of ball gloves. The Franchise series has grown to be Mizuno's most popular line of gloves. Specific to the Franchise series is the new Hi-Low lacing system. The Hi-Low system increases flexibility throughout the web while maintaining structure. You will also find the new Adjust-A-Size wrist closure which makes a personalized fit for any size hand possible. By incorporating ParaShock and PalmSoft technologies within this glove, rest assured that ever step is being taken to help protect your hand when catching the ball. Would this glove make a good middle infielder glove?
RJS
Sure. It may be a little too small for an older player (high school and up), but it would work great for someone around 11 to 13 years old.
Sean
is this good for a 10 year old second baseman?
jbb
I think it would be a good option. It's a good size for a 10 year old to use and grow in to over the course of a few seasons.
John
does it come in 12 inch model?
Phil
At one point they did make a 12 inch model, but it was recently discontinued and we are out of stock.

How does this glove compare with the Rawlings Gold Glove Gamer Pro Taper Series: GG1102G—specifically regarding leather quality, weight, and fit for small hands?
My son is only 6 and just slightly smaller than average for his age, but he plays 7U AAA Machine pitch and he's a good fielder, but lately well hit balls tend to pop out of his 10" Mizuno Prospect Series Glove. I'd like to get him something with better leather, but not too big and/or heavy. I've also looked at: Mizuno Classic Pro Soft Future Series: GCP40F Youth, Rawlings Player Preferred Series: PP110BR, and Wilson A1000 Showcase Series: SCG4 Youth.
CBC
The Rawlings GG1102G will fit slightly smaller than the Mizuno GFN1102. Leather quality will be very similar between the two, but I may give a slight edge to the Rawlings GG1102G. Weight will also be the same. The Mizuno GCP40F and Wilson SCG4 will fit even smaller than the GFN1102 and GG1102G. The Mizuno GCP40F is also made with much higher quality materials than any of the other gloves you mentioned.
John
Would this glove be too big for a 10 year old who is 4ft. 7and weighs 80lbs. He plays infield and outfield.
big les
No, it would be a good size for him. If he doesn't like it, we do have the 100 day guarantee.
Linda
What position is this glove designed for?
Korpi
The GFN1102 is not a position specific glove. At 11 inches, this glove will primarily be used by players under the age of 12.
Tyler
I'm wondering what the difference is between a youth 11 inch glove and an adult 11 inch glove. This glove didn't come up in the Youth Glove search but did when I searched for 11 inch gloves. We have a 7 year old son who plays on his league's All-Star and Travel teams.
John
Youth model 11" gloves will have a smaller hand opening than the 11" adult models.
Damon
Will this glove be ok for a 8year old boy that is 75lbs and 51 inches tall?
Jose
We would recommend the youth model in a 11.00" Mizuno Prospect Series: GPP1102 Youth.
Kara
I am looking for a left hand thrower Mizuno Vintage MVP youth 11.0 or 11.5 power close series.
Brian
The Mizuno Franchise Series: GFN1102 would be very similar to the Mizuno Vintage MVP Youth Power Close series.
Chad M.
My son currently has the 11.5 inch Powerclose. I forget what model but it was in the $35 range. It's brown with black. I think the glove is too big for him (7U). He plays mostly infield and was wondering if you recommend a 10- 10.5" for this model? I am looking for a more sturdy glove for him.
Kevin
We recommend a 10.00" glove. The Mizuno Prospect Series: GPP1002 Youth would be a good option for his age and position.

PRICE MATCHGUARANTEE
Yes, JustGloves.com will price match a competitor's listed price!
To do so, we verify some information. If you see an item listed at a lower price elsewhere, this is all we require:
We must verify that the website you want to price match is legitimate and an authorized dealer of the products they sell.
We must confirm that the competitor has the same size and product in stock and ready to ship. If the same size and product is out of stock on the competitor's website, we are unable to match their price.
We must confirm if the competitor charges sales tax and/or shipping fees since these are added to the final price of the product.
Lastly, our Glove Experts must check on the cost we pay to stock the item from the manufacturer. The price match must cover that manufacturer cost for the item.
We have the final decision for matching an online price.
Did you purchase a product from us, but noticed that it is now at a lower price? Please let us know, and we will honor our lowest price within the past 30 days by issuing a refund for the price difference or adjusting the price for you over the phone.

DIRECTIONS:
(1) - First remove any existing dirt by wiping the glove with a clean, dry cloth. (2) - When clean, rub a small amount of conditioner into the leather with hands or clean cloth. (3) - Work it into the web, palm, laces, inside of the glove, & any other area that has become dry or is starting to crack. (4) - When finished, place your glove in a warm, dry area (70 - 90 F) & allow the leather to absorb the conditioner for 24 hrs. (5) - Re-treat your glove when you notice the leather is starting to dry out. Prior to the off-season, apply a light coat of conditioner to keep the leather from becoming brittle.
