Pros: nicest mitt ever made. im 11 and i bought this 2 weeks ago and i broke it in already. people say it takes a long time but if you have a catch for an hour a day it should be good to go in about 2 weeks. it has a nice soft feel.

Cons: for an infielders mitt that has a pro h outfielders web. i think it should be a pro i.

Is this small enough to fit a 8 1/2 yr old boy bill

This would be an excellent choice for and 8 or 9 year old. An 11 inch glove is recommended for children of that age.

My son is 14 and plays second base. He is a smaller kids with smaller hands. He is interested in the A2000 Showcase Series SCDW5. Would this be a glove he could use through high school or is this more of a youth model? Jeff

This isn't really a youth model, but it is designed for a player with smaller hands. Your son should be able to use it at second base throughout high school.

My 8 year old daughter is looking for a new glove for her competitive fastpitch team. She plays SS. Would this glove work for her? They use 11 inch balls. fastpitchdad

I would not recommend this glove for fastpitch softball. This is a glove that is made for baseball. The pocket of the glove is going to be to small for softball. I would look into the fastpitch gloves, these gloves will have a bigger pocket for the softball.

Wilson has a great glove conditioner for their gloves. It will break the glove in quicker than traditional oil.
