Description

The A2000 Showcase series carries the spirit of the original A2000, designed with the same game changing experience for players with smaller hands. Now, players of all ages can have a professional quality glove designed to maximize their performance, just like the A2000 professional models do. The A2000 Showcase carries on the Wilson tradition started in 1957 that revolutionized the baseball glove. The technological improvements allowed the glove to act as a true extension of the players hand, making fielders more efficient allowing for a higher level of performance. A2000 Showcase series gloves also offer the new Dri-Lex technology. This Dri-Lex technology is an ultra-breathable wrist lining that transfers moisture away from the skin, keeping your hand cool and dry. A2000 Showcase series gloves also feature the patented Dual Welting system that offers a pre-curved finger design that helps maintain a stable and durable pocket. The Dual Welting technology is a patented design used exclusively by Wilson in the United States. All patterns are endlessly field tested by a select group of top amateur players. The Wilson A2000 series gloves are unmatched in feel and offer consistent performance. Free Shipping.

Pros: I bought this showcase series A 2000 for my 12 year old grandson who is in traveling baseball. He really likes the glove and how it fits his smaller hand and how much better he controls the glove. It broke in very easily. it came in only 3 days on standard shipping. thank you for great service. You made my grandsons day. Pa.

Pros: Great fit - I'm a high school player with smaller hands. The glove was a little tight to start but now has worked in great and is my favorite glove. A little stiff to start but it has softened up just enough - I like my gloves on the stiffer side for more control. Love it every time I put it on.

Cons: It took a little while to break in but I used mine during winter training and it was ready to go by the time tryouts came around. Glove Care Kit is a must to work it in the way you like.

Pros: Has all the great qualities of a top of the line infielders glove. First glove company to make a top of the line glove for small hands. My 8 year old loves the glove.

Cons: Takes a while to properly break in. Have used this glove since October 09 and have NO problems.

Pros: perfect fit for my average size 11 year old. He should be able to use this glove for the next 3-4 years. Used it on the day of delivery at practice and he only dropped a few due to stiffness. When broke in he will be able to use in the outfield also. Great all-around glove.

Cons: Should be able to order with players name embroidered.

Questions and Answers

is this baseball or softball? billy
Based on the size and pocket structure this particular model is more designed for baseball play. Gloves made specifically for softball will be labeled as 'fastpitch' models. Given that information, there are no rules that state this is prohibited for either sport. Whatever size and feel a player finds comfortable is what we suggest.

Would the A2000 SCASO 11.5" be big enough for a high school short stop? I'm concerned that it might be a little small, if so what would you recommend. CoachM
The SCASO is not too small for a shortstop. Most shortstops will use somewhere between an 11.25 and a 12inch model. I would suggest looking at some 11.75inch models. They will give him a little added size.
Mark
for a short stop you need something light so youre more agile.. 11.5 should be about perfect maybe 11.75 at most
bmoore
Is this the right size glove for a middle infielder that is going into highschool next year? d
Yes, an 11.5 inch glove is an average glove size for a highschool middle infielder.
Mark

About the Brand

A true American icon in the world of sports equipment. This Chicago-based manufacturer of quality gloves began in 1913 as Ashland Manufacturing, which was a subsidiary of the Wilson & Co. meat company. At one point, the enterprise became known as the Thomas E. Wilson Co., taking the name of an early chief executive. In 1931, the name was changed to Wilson Sporting Goods Co.

Wilson makes a variety of baseball gloves and equipment for several different positions, uncluding bats and batting gloves. They are best known for models that include the A2K and A2000, as well as custom gloves. Players such as Clayton Kershaw and Miguel Cabrera have sported Wilson baseball gloves.
