Description

Mizuno has once again made it their priority to develop the games most exclusive line of ball gloves. One of those series is the Prospect Series. Mizunos patented PowerClose technology is unmatched in the industry. Others may try to duplicate, but no technology closes as easily. Multiple technologies like ParaFlex, PowerClose, PowerLock, V-Flex, Hi-Low Lacing and SureFit Foam, afford the youth player the best options to make catching easy. The V-Flex helps initiate easy closure while the PowerClose makes it easier for younger players to close the glove and catch the ball. Hi-Low Lacing increases flexibility throughout the web. The Parashock palm pad and SureFit Foam lining in select Prospect Series models reduce shock to minimize "sting" while delivering superior feel and comfort. Above all, the PowerClose design MAKES CATCHING EASY! Free Shipping.

What age is this glove appropriate for? Greg
This glove, which is 11.75 inches, will be a great all-around glove for 10-13 year olds.

with the separate leather palm, it appears the glvoe will indeed close really easily. we are familiar with Mizuno Power Close tech, but I am wondering (concerned?) that a softer leather up the middle of the pocket may not hold up as well as one piece leather gloves. any thoughts? if we were to buy this glove and have it steamed and beated TWICE before shipping, would it be game ready for a 7 year old playing at the minors level? floyd
This glove would basically be for a younger player, and it would be one that could be broken in easily. It may be a little big for a 7 year old. As for how long it would last, that would depend on how much the player uses it. You may want to look at the Mizuno GMVP series of gloves. They are a little more expensive, but I feel they are worth it. Both of my sons have a GMVP, and they are going on their 3rd season with them. We don't do anything with the gloves before we ship them out.

Would this be a good glove for a 76 pound 10 yr old moving up to minors this spring! Thanks Claire
A good size utility glove for a 10 year old would be 11.5" or 11.75". This will be a youth model that should work well for your 10 year old.
