Description

Since its introduction in 1957, the original Wilson A2000 Series has set the standard for premium quality ball gloves. Developed together with engineers, craftsmen and Major League players, the A2000 Series is the ultimate defensive tool. Used on MLB fields since 1998, the A2000 SuperSkin models were developed to be as lightweight as possible, without sacrificing performance or durability. SuperSkin repels moisture and reduces the overall weight of the glove while still being 2x stronger than conventional leather. The SuperSkin models strategically place American Pro Stock leather at certain points to give it even more rugged durability. This durability is enhanced even further with Dual-Welting pre-curved finger design that helps the pocket keep its shape and stay stable. This 12.75 Inch model features a Six Finger Web and is ideal for outfielders looking for a glove with the lightest possible play weight. Put millions of hours of passion for excellence in the palm of your hand with a Wilson A2000 SuperSkin glove! Wilson: The Official Glove of Major League Baseball. Free Shipping!

Pros: Extremely light thanks to the superskin, and maintains the high quality leather feel. Also, I liked the trapeze and the looks of the glove. The glove has plenty of padding in the palm, but maintains feel. The laces are extremely high quality, and break in easy. All of my life, I have been a die hard Rawlings fan, but this is an excellent product.

Cons: None at all. Totally worth it.

Pros: Best glove I've ever had. Light because of the tough skin and durable. The looks are great too.

Cons: Longer than normal break in period but with pro stock leather that's normal. Once broken in the way you want it stays true to form.

Matt

Pros: Very light and very high quality leather. I get a lot of compliments from teammates about the design and how "cool" it looks. I have had it for a week and I have already broken it in with extensive catch playing. Great glove!!!

Cons: It was a little stiff the first couple days, but I played catch everyday and it loosened up really quick.

We now have these in a right hand thrower.
Kara
can you treat the superskin leather like the regular leather as far as with glove oil and break-in time? bline
The SuperSkin will have a soft feel and should not need any golve oil.
KG
I play ss and outfield in slow pitch softball. Do u recomend this trapeze or the h web? Berto
Both would work just fine! Some outfielders prefer the H-web so they have some visibility through the pocket.
Shelbe
Is there a 12.5 inch version of this glove. Jroe
The next size available is a 12.75 in the SuperSkin series; Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: 1799SSB
KB
Does the superskin break in like regular leather? Jcole
Yes the superskin breaks in just like regular leather.
Ryan
Is this glove large enough to move all fingers over one slot to create a deeper pocket like many professional players do with their pinky and ring finger together? Bryan
As long as you keep your fingers like that throughout the break-in process, then the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: BBOT6SS will form to your hand that way.
Zach
I'm 12 and I play outfield so what size glove should I use? Jason
We recommend a 11.50" to a 11.75". The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: G4BSS would be an excellent choice.
Kara
Will this glove get "floppy" over time? I play LF and want a glove that keep the fingers stiff for a long time. I will not be using any oil on this glove. Andrew
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series has a high grade Pro Stock Leather that will be very durable and will keep its shape well.
Nick K.
My son is 16 years old & is a left handed pitcher & outfielder for his high school team. Is this glove good for both or should he have 2 different gloves? (different sizes?). Are these lighter colored laces legal for a pitcher? Is it important for a pitcher to have a closed web. He has an A-3000 now. Jeff
We recommend a 12.00" glove for a utility player. The Wilson A2000 Series: A2000 ASOB would be an excellent choice. As long as the laces are not white there should not be a problem using the glove while pitching.
Kara
Do you recommend SuperSkin or regular skin. I am an outfielder. Do the different types of webbing make a difference or is it just player preference? zach
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: BBOT6SS is a more durable leather than the regular skin. The type of webbing is up to the player.
Frank
I understand that this glove is recommended that this glove is best for 2 finger in the pinky slot. Will it be just the same if i have a finger in each slot? tommy
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series does not require you to put 2 fingers in the pinky slot. You can use it traditionally.
Chad M.
Even though gloves like this and the 1799 SuperSkin are 12.75" would they still be heavier than a regular A2000 that is 12.50"? b
A 12.75" Wilson A2000 Superskin glove like the BBOT6SS, will weigh about the same as a regular 12.5" A2000 glove.
