It is an excellent glove, though it might be a little big for infield. Though some prefer a slightly bigger glove with softball.

I am 11 years old and I am now using a 11 1/2 size glove. If I moved up to a 12 would that be a big jump.

If you are 11 years old, I would suggest staying with an 11.50. A 12.00 might be too big. This also depends on what position you play. A 12.00 inch glove would be a good size for an outfield position, but infielders typically prefer an 11-11.5 inch glove.

I don't think so, especially, if you want him to get multiple years of use out of it. A 12.5 inch glove is the average size for a High School outfielder. I think he'll be just fine with it.

This glove will be just fine for a player (High School age or older) with smaller hands. Now, if you're a younger player with smaller hands, I would recommend looking at a Youth glove.

This Wilson A2000 Series does have a deep pocket. It is the Josh Hamilton model that has an extra large hand opening and thumb stall.

I would recommend a 12.50"-12.75" glove for a high school outfielder. A 13.00" glove will be a little too big.

I play 60 to 70 games a year in select ball and I was wondering how many seasons will this glove last. Is it bad for this glove to break it in by cathching with the glove and never apply glove oil?

The Wilson A2000 is made of top of the line leather and is very durable. With proper care, including using glove oil, the Wilson A2000 should last for several seasons.

The Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BBJH32GM glove will fit a little bigger than average, and is a great choice for players with larger hands. However, a player of High School age or older with average size hands shouldn't have a problem with the way it fits.

If he currently is successful with his Wilson A2K, and likes it you should stay with a Wilson A2K. I would go with a 12.50" model. It will give him room to grow into it, and it is a great size for an outfield model.

Unfortunately, that would be a better question to ask Wilson directly. At one point they made all the Wilson A2000 models in Japan and only made the SuperSkin models in Vietnam. Wilson can be reached by phone at (800) 874-5930 if you want to get a different answer.
