NOT easy to break in... Peter Parent

Pros: Great quality, very sharp looking, rugged.

Cons: VERY HARD to break in. I don't know what they mean when they say it's easy. I've been working for months on my daughter's glove and it's only now loosening up. Pricey.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 12" Sierra Romero Fastpitch Softball Glove: WTA20RF20SR32GM? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

How would this glove do with a youth hand? My daughter has a good grip, but smaller fingers at 11 years old. Looking for a glove that is not small like the Mizuno Prospect and barely holds a 12" softball that will last a few years Chris Smith
This glove could work with a slightly smaller hand, but you would need to spend a longer time breaking it in, as her grip strength would most likely not be on par with the intended age range for this glove, so getting it to a point where she would be able to properly close and squeeze the glove would take a fair bit longer. However, if her hands are so small that she uses Youth gloves, I'm not sure this would be a great option. Be sure and note that we do offer Glove Assurance for $29.99 additional to the cost of the glove. If you buy a glove with Glove Assurance you will get a 100 day trial. You can use the glove and if you decide it is not for you within 100 days, you can return it for a refund.

About the Brand

A true American icon in the world of sports equipment. This Chicago-based manufacturer of quality gloves began in 1913 as Ashland Manufacturing, which was a subsidiary of the Wilson & Co. meat company. At one point, the enterprise became known as the Thomas E. Wilson Co., taking the name of an early chief executive. In 1931, the name was changed to Wilson Sporting Goods Co.

Wilson makes a variety of baseball gloves and equipment for several different positions, uncluding bats and batting gloves. They are best known for models that include the A2K and A2000, as well as custom gloves. Players such as Clayton Kershaw and Miguel Cabrera have sported Wilson baseball gloves.
