This Shoeless Joe Glove 3200CM gives a player the quality, feel and style of the gloves worn by professional ball players over the last 100 years. You can choose glove models worn in the first half of century in the Golden Age Series or today`s models in the Professional Model Series. The Shoeless Joe gloves are individually hand-cut and sewn from Special Aged Antique Tobacco Leather Hides. Shoeless Joe gloves are then hand-rubbed with old time ingredients to soften the leather before they go through their breaking in process that leaves the Glove with a beaten up and game worn look and feel of a broken in glove. Thus each glove is unstructured giving it its own unique feature. Players can choose to play with an old time or modern day web without having to change to another model. Pros: Glove comes in soft and almost broken in. Add a little oil and it is ready to go. Engulfs the ball upon delivery with ease. This is our third catcher's mitt. This glove has the old-school look and my 11-year old son says "best catcher's mitt ever."

Pros: Glove and the pocket are great right out of the box. High quality leather that has a great feel and smell. No break-in time required. Improves confidence behind the plate.

Cons: Padding a bit less than other catcher's mitts. Requires a catcher's glove under the mitt for hard throwers. Wrist guard not very useful. Wrist strap not adjustable.

Pros: Glove arrived very quickly. My 13 yr. old son had the 30" glove when he was 10 and loved it so we stayed with the shoeless joe except in a 32". He loves this one as well.

Cons: This glove was a little stiffer than the 1st. glove we purchased but still much better than the other gloves.

Pros: broke in upon arrival. beautiful glove. 10 year old son loves it. it has big hand slot but even with his small hands not an issues. can put nearly 3 ball in 32 in mitt and close. big pocket. as a catcher we know palm padding is important and this glove delivers 5 stars. nice wrist pad and index finger cover.

Cons: no wrist adjustment but has not been an issue for my 10 yo son even with his small hands

Cons: Mine doesn't have a finger hood and it isn't broken in at all. I'm not sure how everyone got a great glove but I want another one that is similar to everyone else's.

Pros: Looks great and was easy to break in. Different than everything his buddies had and he thought that was cool to begin with

Cons: We're one year in and this glove needs to be replaced as it's really loose and feels like a wet paper bag. I would have probably bought something that would take longer to break in that was a little more durable.

Pros: None that I liked.

Cons: Broken in and to soft. Balls are flying out of the webbing and the glove just folds straight back. Didn’t even last the season. It’s so broken in it can’t scoop up a ball without falling out of the web.

Pros: Price and the one left handed option you have. Lefties like to catch their kids too, maybe find at least one ‘a2000’ lefty for us please. Only other one to look at is All Star who I wound up with which seems like a great mitt

Cons: Floppy and super broken feel, I know it’s what they are going for but it has a feel of a glove you use because it was your grandpa’s, not a real gamer you would take to anything competitive. Ck out All Star if you are a lefty like me and don’t want to pay 400 for a Nakoona. All you righties get the main Wilson, Mizuno, All Star and Rawlings good stuff here for serious use.

At 32", the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 3200CM Catcher's Mitt would be a good size for a player around 11 or 12 years old. The fit of the glove may be a little large, but I think that the player should be able to grow into the fit within a few seasons.

Much depends on the player and their preferences. However, 32" to 33" is the average size for a 13 year old catcher.

The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 3200CM Catcher's Mitt is a great option for a younger player. It may be a little large for an 11 year old, but they can probably grow into it within a few years. For an elite player of an older age, it may be softer than preferred, but the feel works great for a younger catcher.

I'm 15 and the starting catcher my high school varsity team. I currently have a 32.5 inch glove and sometimes I wish it could be a little bigger and other times I wish it could be a little smaller. I am debating between this model or the 34 inch model. I'm not sure which I should get, please help! Fperrier15

If you have a 32.5" mitt currently and you sometimes wish it was a little bigger, and sometimes a little smaller, that is a good indication that 32.5" is the best size for you. Thus, a 32.5" mitt would be recommended.

The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 3200CM Catcher's Mitt is probably a little smaller than what a lot of high school catchers want in regard to circumference size. You will probably be better off with a 33.00" catchers mitt.

I am conisdering the Wilson A2000 and the Shoeless Joe 3200CM catcher's mitts for my 11.5 year old son. He plays at a high level for his age group. What do you recommend? He loves the look of the Shoeless Joe, but the A2000 seems more practical. Some have complained that one needs a big hand for the Shoeless Joe. Is that true? Joe

The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 3200CM Catcher's Mitt is a nice mitt, as it breaks in quicker than an A2000 and has a vintage look and feel. The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2403BB1791ST Catcher's Mitt, and the rest of the A2000 Series will take quite a bit longer to break in, but is made of a higher grade, more durable leather.

This Shoeless Joe Professional Series (3200CM Catcher's Mitt) will not specifically be designed for use for an eight year old's hand. However, if you were wanting to get a glove into which your player could grow with time, I might recommend this model as it would certainly be an option your player could grow into as he gets older.

Unfortunately, it would be extremely difficult to remove the wrist guard from the mitt. As well, removal of the wrist guard would require unlacing the mitt and re-lacing it.

Glove size ultimately comes down to personal preference, especially catchers mitts. Typically, a 13 year old is going to be using a 32" model like the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 3200CM Catcher's Mitt though.
