This Shoeless Joe Glove 3400CM gives a player the quality, feel and style of the gloves worn by professional ball players over the last 100 years. You can choose glove models worn in the first half of century in the Golden Age Series or today`s models in the Professional Model Series. The Shoeless Joe gloves are individually hand-cut and sewn from Special Aged Antique Tobacco Leather Hides. 34 inch Mitt Ron Coach
Pros: I’m an adult. Great feel and ready to go out of the box. I’m very pleased with performance. Glove size is accurate. Very comfortable and looks great.
Cons: After a few months of catching 12-13 year olds, the webbing became a bit loose, so I couldn’t recommend this glove for a high school catcher. It’s a great glove for a youth league coach or low impact catching.
Nice Stewart Parent
Pros: Really nice. Good craftsmanship and feel out of the box.
Cons: None yet
Nice glove. Roy Coach
Pros: Comfortable, easy to form, seems sturdy
Cons: The toe seems flimsy
numb fingers david filler Other
Pros: Lots of pop,no more numb fingers. It was a birthday gift to my son,who practices catching for his high school pitching son.Great glove
Cons: none
Shoeless Joe 34" catcher's mitt Chad Veenendall Coach
Pros: Easy glove to break in but that's about it.
Cons: Poor stitching as we used the glove in 3 practices and some of the stitching has already broke. Not happy with the quality of the glove.
Premium Leather Joe S. Player
Pros: The smell of premium leather is hard to forget. As long as this glove is around, everyone in the area knows that smell. We’ve been breaking it in more everyday. Can’t wait to use it in game play. So far, we’ve been super happy with this glove and the quality as we are a college playing family.
Cons: Wish it came with a case. :-) But NOT a complaint.
Okay but not great Blake Johnson Player
Pros: Very padded and comfortable
Cons: Leather to soft Hard to keep shape
Ehh A guy Player
Pros: Easy to breaker in and great smell
Cons: I play men's baseball. Everything was great till I met a pitcher who threw in the mid 80s. My thumb felt like it was about to break with every pitch. Very disappointed. Waste of 200 to be honest
Nice glove Ed Coach
Pros: Looks nice feels nice. Seems well built. I'm a coach on a EBL team and only catching for 12-13yr olds so can't say how it feels on a 90 mph pitch 65 mph feels great.
Cons: Nothing yet
ready to use glove Steve Player
Pros: right out of the box used it in a game
Cons: easy to close but stiff to open
Built like a tank- major break in Tim S Parent
Pros: This glove has the protection padding of the best of gloves. Worked this glove against middle tier All Star Pro Series Baseball Catcher's Mitt: CM3100SBT and high end Wilson A2000 SuperSkin and my high school son preferred the Shoeless Joe over both in comfort and even protection of the thumb area.
Cons: Noticeably heavier than most gloves. Although, it does not take long at all to break in. The glove shipped in the most pancake shape of all the gloves tried and really has to be worked to get into the boxing form. Even now after a month of heavy work, the boxing is not complete and the ball still occasionally pops out. The attached wrist guard shipped sticking out at an annoying 90 degrees, but by tucking the wrist guard into the hand opening every night, it straightened out against the wrist and became beneficial rather than hinderance.
LH Catcher Mitt Robert Player
Pros: Easy to break in. Good leather. Right size
Cons: None
Billy
Pros: Can't say enough good about this glove. Super well made, easy to adjust, padded really well, comfy, deep pocket and YES YES YES ready-to-go right out of the box without having to beat the glove for 2 weeks. Seriously the best catcher's mitt I've ever owned.
Cons:
JM
Pros: Easy and quick to break in. Great looking glove with quality leather and perfect size for adult. I have only used it for a month so I will be curious to see how it holds up.
Cons: None.
Hal
Pros: good feel, good padding and comfort fit, will last many innings!
Cons: I have none
Bob L
Pros: Great look and feel! Nice padding in the palm.
Cons: Being "game ready" out of the box is a big stretch. I have pretty strong hands and I could barely get this glove 1/2 closed when I got it. It was pretty much as stiff as any other new glove I have purchased. I was a bit disappointed but I started working on it right away. Took a couple of passes with glove oil but it is about 2/3 broken in after 1 hard break in week. Not too bad really. I like the glove but don't buy into being "game ready" right out of the box - it's not. I'm sure I'll be happy after it is completely broken in - probably a couple more weeks I'm guessing.
1Badman
Pros: Awesome right out of the box and awesome 5 years later. I caught in HS and now coach. I've caught 85 MPH fastball and felt nothing. My son took it over 14U and is still using in HS. I've spent $1000+ on catchers mitts and he still chooses this one.(Over his A2K and Rawlings Heart of the Hide) Buying a backup just in case. No breakdown in padding as others have said
Cons: Laces need tightened occasionally. Buying a back-up and having this one professionally re-laced.
chaff
Pros: good padding, big enough to use in high school
Cons: glove came already shaped and I personally like a glove that I get to break in myself and shape to my hand. the wrist protector had almost no effect because of how it curled up. overall, if you're older than 13 and looking for a glove to use in high school games, look somewhere else
Wes B
Pros: Game ready and good feel. Authentic look.
Cons: Glove has to be continuously tightened. My son plays on the varsity team in HS with pitchers throwing in the consistent 80s. The pocket will barely last an entire game before becoming extremely loose. Sent the first glove back for exchange due to the lacing breaking while tightening the glove. The glove also lacks protection. My son suffered a broken thumb while tagging a runner out at home plate in a standing position. Several issues played a factor in this happening but the glove folded backwards during the tag and his thumb was broken off at the joint while inside the glove. Random deal but still out of playing for 3 months for healing and rehab.
Chuck
Pros: Fast Break in
Cons: Gets flimsy after 2 weeks of using it. Little to no padding/Shaping on it. It is hard to tell if you catch the ball or not when you use this glove.
lefty catcher's mitt John Drager Sr. parent
Pros: well built, new glove smell, feels broken in
Cons: took me 46 years to find a lefty catchers mitt that fit my man paws.
shoeless joe Shawn coach
Pros: I just got this mit about 5 days ago. I am totally surprised on how broken in it is. I absolutely love it. I will definitely be purchasing an in fielder's mit from shoeless joe. Definitely highly recommend this mit.
Cons: NONE
Anonymous
Pros: No break in required
Cons: Since it came broke in the web was extremely lose after 2-3 uses and balls would flop right put. Kind of like Bill Buckners glove from the 86 World Series.
great glove mark coach
Pros: completely broken in out of box.
Cons: none
doc
Pros: I catch in a 40+ league and found this glove to be the best glove I have owned. I haven't felt one pitch yet. It's worth the money to me even if I have to replace it in a couple of seasons due to the easy breakin nature of the leather.
Cons: Because it's so padded sometimes I have to look in the glove to see if the ball is there. Also, the pocket is not as long or deep as a traditional glove. I find picking a ball off the ground with the glove is difficult. Neither reasons for not going with this glove though.
Wheaty
Pros: Good price. Looks great and comes game ready. Beautifully made.
Cons: The thin padding is breaking down rapidly from the usage of a season of aa bantam baseball. I will have to replace this glove after 1 year.
Vmarin
Pros: This is the nicest glove I have ever used. Getting in shape to play in a senior league, I was catching 70 to 80 mph pitches today, did not feel a THING. No sting. The leather is soft and nearly broken-in, and is made really well. Many have said this brand just makes novelty gloves, and while that may be true to an extent, the 3400 is a contender for serious players. Seriously love this thing. Highly recommend!
Cons: Not sure I am crazy about the wrist flap, have to give that some time
The Wall
Pros: Soft leather, soft laces
Cons: Failed during third game with it. The focus on producing a "ready-to-use" product means that all the components are too soft to withstand the rigors of real baseball. It was easy to use instantly but the main lace between the finger and thumb running through the bridge (holding the webbing onto the glove) broke during the third game of use. Nice to look at, nice to wear, easy to use, but not well-built enough to endure game conditions.
Dad
Pros: Nicely done looks and Feels good. Much nicer than some of the others out there.
Cons: My son's not happy with it. Should have went one size smaller.
bulldog dad
Pros: Loved the look and the feel of the glove.
Cons: Glove was worn out after one full high school season. A good fastball was able to flip glove backwards on outside rim.
great glove Josh player
Pros: easy break in time! good pocket! highly recommended!
Cons: none
Geno
Pros: Quality mitt. Plenty of cushion. Well made. Breaking it in wasn't too hard either. Really nice leather.
Cons:
Greatness
Pros: The easiest glove to break in and the leather is the softest that I have ever felt. It is the longest lasting glove and leather that I have ever heard of and seen
Cons: I can't complain about anything with this greatness of a glove.
WP2526
Pros: Out of the box feel in love. Well broke in soft, son caught with it straight away. I CAUGHT WITH IT, TOTALLY IMPRESSED!
Cons: NONE!
Shoeless reviewer
Pros: My 1980s Wilson A2400 32" -- a mitt I have used and treasured for decades -- is now beyond repair, so I ordered the Shoeless 3400CM. I love it. It is a softer, better smelling replica (in my opinion) of the Wilson A2400 single action. It wasn't ready to go right out of the box, but after a few days of pounding and stretching, I think it's ready for a game. Very fast delivery.
Cons: None.
Beast
Pros: Good glove, we'll made. Made for people with big hands.
Cons: Ball seems to pop out a little
beast
Pros: Good palm padding, breaks in fast, cant find anything better for the price.
Cons:
bwiz11

Power to the Lefty's
Pros: Super nice glove. It was broke in the very first time I used it. Would highly recommend it to anyone.
Cons: Glove runs big
john
Pros: received my "shoeless joe 34" catchers mitt today and i am impressed with the following: broken in, fits perfect for large hands, craftsmanship, color, and its game ready. thank you justballgloves.com for an excellent product and two day delivery.
Cons: none
Deltamark
Pros: Amazing glove. Began catching for the first time ever, last year in an adult league. Used a few other catcher's gloves, but this one is far and away better than any of them. Our pitchers throw a lot of balls in the dirt and I end up catching balls I didn't even think I had a chance at. This glove is making me look good! : ) Love it!!! I will seriously look at Shoeless Joe if / when I need to purchase my next fielder's glove.
Cons: Haven't found any yet.
Rich
Pros: Ready out of bag. No real breaking in required. Feels great. I have big hands and fits comfortable. Using it to catch my 7-9 year L.L. team.
Cons: None as of review time.
Catcher Kid
Pros: One of the fastest break-in times for a catcher's mitt. My son is a HS catcher and his All-Star Glove was getting worn and we worried about it breaking with no back up. Saw this glove and right out of the box after a couple of practices it was ready to go. Now whether it holds up is yet to be seen but for $100 less than the All-Star Glove, well worth the money.
Cons: Too early to tell how much of a beating it can take.
DHenn
Pros: Ready to use right away. Great old time baseball feel.
Cons: I wish they made a 33. I'm a 6' High School catcher and the 34 is a little big, but it's so comfortable I think I'll wear a batting glove and stick with it.
Churc758
Pros: I am a 34yr old playing in an adult league with pitchers throwing anywhere from 70 to 85mph, i just got this mitt and can already tell it's a lot better than the 14yr old rawlings that i've been playing with. My son is about to start pitching in highschool and he throws pretty hard and has lots of movement on his fastball, the mitt is easy to snag any pitch out of the dirt. Also the day i purchased it, it was so easy to squeeze closed and open, already feels game ready.
Cons: I'm pretty sure my knees will give out before this mitt does.
HD
Pros: Arrived fully broke in. Used in game 1st weekend after I received! Flexible with padding in right places to prevent sting from fast pitches.
Cons: none
kroner
Pros: absolutely perfect! works right out of the bag. the look, feel and action of the glove are game ready. those concerned about the wrist guard, dont. its big enough for protection and small enough not to get in the way. so forget about those new fangled rubber wrist protector gloves, dont need it. great pocket, dont feel a thing on 80+ throwers. hopefully its the last catchers mitt ill need.
Cons: none
js4tw
Pros: great mitt bought for my son who will be catching high school this year. fast break in

Cons: Best glove I have ever owned
Rich
Pros: I bought this glove for my son. I can truely say this is one of the best gloves I have seen. I am looking to buy him an infielder version now.
