Description

Shoeless Joe Gloves give a player the quality, feel and style of the gloves used by professional ball players over the last 100 years. You can choose glove models used in the first half of century in the Golden Age Series or today`s models in the Professional Model Series (1250TT). The Shoeless Joe gloves are individually hand-cut and sewn from Special Aged Antique Tobacco Leather Hides. Shoeless Joe gloves are then hand-rubbed with old time ingredients to soften the leather before they go through their breaking in process that leaves the Glove with a beaten up and `Game Worn` look and feel, of a broken in glove. Thus each glove is unstructured giving it its own unique feature. Players can choose to play with an old time or modern day web without having to change to another model. A great play is lived only once, but your glove, you`ll keep it forever. If you end a game with a clean uniform our gloves are not for you. Shoeless Joe: When it Was Just a Game! Need help? Pros: I am very picky about gloves. I ordered this glove with some hesitation. I have always bought a glove in person and was sceptical about buying something like this online. I must say this is the best ball glove ever. It is mostly broken in on arrival. Use this glove for co-ed and mens softball.

Cons: No-way!

Pros: My wife bought this glove for me for Christmas. What a great gift!!! My son has already started winter workouts with his little league team, so I have got to use the glove quite a bit so far. It was broke in amazingly well for just pulling it out of the box. I have worked for months to get other gloves into this condition. The color is amazing, just a great all around glove. All the kids and dads on the team want to purchase one now.

Cons: NONE. Thank you Shoeless Joe!!!

Pros: Overall good glove, good leather, already pretty well broken in. I would recommend this glove to anyone who wants a good glove to use thru High School and possibly beyond.

Cons: Seems to be a little small in size compared to other 12.50 gloves.

Pros: I bought this glove for my son and it is wonderful. Ready to go with two coats of oil. Love everything about it. Need one for myself!

Cons: My son is ambidextrous and it would be great if the company made one of these, it is hard to find with out spending a fortune on one. He loves his JOE glove.

Hoopster

Pros: Love it. I actually order one - returned it and ordered another one. They do vary - each one is a little different. I liked the first one better. I initially returned because I felt it was small. But 1300mt was too big and didn't like the mt web. So I returned it and went back with this one. It's a great glove. I really like the TT web. I used a basket web in my last glove and I like the TT as well or better.

Cons: None

Cons: If you can find any cons with this glove, you are very stupid.

Pros: Appeal, pre-conditioned leather makes it game ready from day one. Part of me wanted to keep this glove simply because it is so nice to look at.

Cons: If you position both your pinky and ring finger into the pinky slot of your gloves, I do not recommend this model. It is very uncomfortable.

Ian

Pros: the leather is incredibly soft and the glove is super comfortable.

Cons: The fingers are way to soft and flimsy for catching any ball not directly in the pocket. And ball near the top of the fingers will almost definitely pop out no matter how tightly you close the glove.

cheap leather tyler in the Rockies player

Pros: it is well broken in

Cons: Let me first say that i am spoiled by iwning a Nokona baseball glove. i decided to buy a Shoe Less Joe glove becUse it looked comparable to Nokona. that is not the case. the Leather used for Shoeless Joe mitts is extremely cheap feeling when compared with Nokona.

Pros: I researched and considered the matter for a very long time, and finally bought this glove. I'm happy I did. It arrived game-ready...soft but not too soft...rich smell, texture, feel and look. I played catch with my 11 yr-old that day, and it's 95% broken-in. I don't play in games---just catch with the kids from time to time---so I'm sure this will last for many years.

Small but neat Mike Coach

Pros: (I've only had this glove for a day so can't comment on how long it will last) Almost broken in; I used a mallet maybe 50x and it's pretty much field ready. Has a unique and good feel to it Feels good when you put it on I'm torn if this is better than an equally priced Wilson or Rawlings but I do think the leather is better than both at this price-point Not heavy and not cheap feeling either

Cons: 12.5" is small, we compared this to my son's Rawlings Gold Glove 11.5" (~5yr old glove) and they are pretty much the same size. Definitely smelled than a 12.5' Rawling's OF glove.

A good glove for the price Leland Proshek Coach

Pros: Nearly broken in the day I received it. 90% broken in at the factory. Very easy to make it game ready. A very good looking glove with some fine workmanship.

Cons: The thumb and little finger restraints are very large. I could put three of my thumbs in the hole. The adjustment is all the way tight but still it is huge. This causes rubbing on the thumb during use. I will try to cut the leather and make my own adjustments.

great glover super quality Andy M Player

Pros: The glove is tight fitting in a good way, and the leather is top quality for sure. Very well built and really nice looking too.

Cons: The only thing that disappoints with this glove is that it is not nearly broken in as the product description describes. It's very nice for sure, but I'm 2 weeks in playing steady 3-4 nights a week and it's pretty stiff. But I'm not willing to give this glove up, because once it breaks in it will be the last glove I'll probably ever own. Beautiful. Top notch built.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Shoeless Joe Professional 12.5" Baseball Glove: 1250TT? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Do you make this glove in a 13 inch? I play outfield thinking about trapeze style. I wonder how stable they are crashing upon impact with the ground. catcheverything
Shoeless Joe does not make a 13". The 12.5" is the largest glove we carry from them. If you are a baseball player the biggest glove you can use is a 12.75".
Bodie
Why don't you make a sjtt1250 for right handers? I usually only buy Rawlings Heart of the Hide; have almost all of them but I really want this for the outfield! jason
We only show what we have in stock. If the right hand thrower option is up on our website, then it is ready to ship today. If it is not on our website, then that means we are out of stock in that option.
Brett
How floppy does this glove get and how quickly? Ben
Actually, all the Shoeless Joe gloves are pre-softened by the manufacturer and they already have a game worn feel. It will be a very soft glove to start with and some may consider it "floppy" from day one.
JH
How durable of glove is this one? Jack
Because the Shoeless Joe gloves are made with a special aged leather and are pre-broken in by the manufacture to give them a game worn look and feel, it won't be a super durable glove for a competitive ball player. However, it would be a great glove for someone who just plays recreationally.
JH
How long do you think this glove could last me if I bought it? I'm on a JV team and hope it will last me till I'm a senior. highschoolbaseball
These are beautifil gloves but they are made for asthetic purposes and are not made for extensive wear and tear. These are definitly well made but because the leather is soft it will breakdown faster than some other gloves.
Shelbe
Is this glove appropriate for pitchers ? Jeff
Yes. An closed web glove is appropriate for pitchers so they can hide the ball.
K.B.
Between the 1250MT, 1250TZ, and 1250TT, which will be the most durable and best choice for an outfielder who wants it to last a good 3 seasons or more. baseballin
All are made from the same materials and will have the same durability. Shoeless Joe makes pretty durable gloves that are known to last more than a few seasons.
Tyler
Where are Shoeless Joe's made? Ball player
Shoeless Joe gloves are made in Mexico.
Tyler
What's the difference between the 1250MT, 1250TZ, and 1250TT? ExileInDC
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1250TT has a Tennesee Trapeze pocket. The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1250TZ has a standard trapeze pocket. The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1250MT has a modified trapeze web.
Tyler
My husband has good size hands. Will this glove will fit him? kate
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1250TT would be a great fit for your husband to use.
Chad M.
What is the advantage of TT over MT or vice versa? James
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1250TT) does not have an advantage over the Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1250MT) or vice versa. They have the same quality leather and a similar web style.
Kara
Will this glove work for a high school outfielder? baseballplayer
Yes, the Shoeless Joe Professional (1250TT) is a great option for high school outfield play.
Sean
Looking for the perfect glove for Men's Slow Pitch Softball for 2nd, SS, and rarely 3rd base. I'm also considering the Nokona Walnut Softball Series: WS1250C. Which one do you think is the better option Do you have any other suggestions? Philly D
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1250TT) would be a great choice. It would feel very soft and nearly game ready from day 1. The WS1250C will feel more stiff compared to the Shoeless Joe gloves. The durability will also last much longer on the Nokona gloves compared to the Shoeless Joe models. Either of these would be a great choice for your league and positions.
Brandon
My son is 13 and plays center field primarily, how does this glove compare to say like Rawlings or other name brand gloves as far as performance and price? Gordon Vaughn
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1250TT) is an ideal glove for outfield usage featuring a large 12.50 inch pattern along with a Tennessee Trapocket style pocket for enhanced control. Additionally, the 1250TT will have a very quick break-in period, and the antique-aged tobacco leather will be fairly durable. With any glove, the bulk of the purchase price is determined by the grade of leather utilized in the glove. Higher leather grades typically equate to increased durability; however the higher grades of leather also come with a longer break-in period.
Joe
I'm a sophomore and I play center field. Would this be a glove glove as well as a good size for me? lulu
Yes, the Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1250TT) would be a great option for you. For outfielders your age we recommend a glove between a 12.5" and a 12.75".
John
Due to the special leather process used, does this glove need any specific type of oil for glove care? Or can a standard glove care kit be used to help with break in period and overall care? glz3
As far as break-in goes, the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1250TT is game ready and does not require it. You can use glove conditioners sparingly to help keep the leather supple, which will in turn improve the lifespan of the glove itself. But it is not necessary.
Marcus
I am a freshman and I play outfield for my high school team. Would this glove be a good choice? Also, how long would it last me? Ben
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1250TT would be an excellent choice for a freshman who plays outfield. I am unable to guarantee the life of a glove as that will vary depending upon how often the glove is used and how well taken care of the glove is.
John P.
Does this 12.5" Shoeless Joe have more padding in the palm of the 13" equivalent? kevin
The amount of palm padding between this Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1250TT) and the Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1300MT) will be pretty equal overall. I would not say that either model will feature more padding for a player's palm overall.
Ben
Is this glove too flimsy? Homer(not Simpson)
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1250TT will arrive in a 'game worn' look and feel. As to whether or not it is too flimsy will be subjective and depend upon who you ask.
John P.
What Shoeless Joe model would be good for a 12u travel player? Outfield is his primary position. This is his last year in Cal-Ripken. eman
This Shoeless Joe 1250TT model would be fine for an outfielder. We recommend 12.5-13" gloves for outfield positions.
Kyle J.
What is the weight of the glove? JJ
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1250TT weighs approximately 1 lb 4 oz.
Sean
How are gloves measured? PATRICK W COBB
Gloves, such as the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1250TT, are measured from the tip of the index finger to the heel of the palm before they are formed.
Logan
I am comparing this with the Marucci BR450, this is for a varsity high school outfielder. Greg
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1250TT would be more game ready with less break in than the Marucci BR450 Series 12.5" Baseball Glove: MFGBR125H. However, the Marucci BR450 Series 12.5" Baseball Glove: MFGBR125H would be a glove that would hold its shape better over time.
Logan
What is the purpose of the external lace between the fore finger and middle finger? I"ve re-laced a few gloves over the years and have not seen that style of lacing pattern before. Jeff
It is just an extra piece of lace that can be used to pull the glove off your hand, hang the glove, carry it, or other functional purposes like that. It is also very easily removed if you do not like it cosmetically, as it is simply a loop of lace with no real structural purpose. This is a feature of all Shoeless Joe gloves.
Kyle J.
Is this glove for pitchers? Oliver Johnson
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1250TT can be used by both pitchers and outfielders.
Ben
My son old glove is 11.5 but kinda small now Is this glove too large? Oliver Johnson
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1250TT is going to be a 12.5 inch glove, which will be big on smaller kids. This glove will be more adult fitting, so if your son has a bigger hand size, then this glove will work.
Ben
My son is 15 going to be playing jr high ball he pitches and plays outfield. Left hand throw. Could he use this glove in high school also? William Mcgehee
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1250TT would work well as a glove he could use now and in high school. However, it may be a little large for pitching, but since he is also playing outfield you may want to keep the larger glove for that.
