Description

Shoeless Joe Gloves give a player the quality, feel and style of the gloves worn by professional ball players over the last 100 years. You can choose glove models worn in the first half of century in the Golden Age Series or today`s models in the Professional Model Series. The Shoeless Joe gloves are individually hand-cut and sewn from Special Aged Antique Tobacco Leather Hides. Shoeless Joe gloves are then hand-rubbed with old time ingredients to soften the leather before they go through their breaking in process that leaves the Glove with a beaten up and game worn look and feel of a broken in glove. Thus each glove is unstructured giving it its own unique feature. Players can choose to play with an old time or modern day web without having to change to another model. A great play is lived only once, but your glove, you`ll keep it forever. If you end a game with a clean uniform our gloves are not for you. Shoeless Joe: When it Was Just a Game! Free Shipping!

Pros: I ordered two gloves for my 8 yr. old to try. This one seemed to be more appropriately sized for him. The Shoeless Joe gloves are very easy to break in and he's been catching everything in sight! I will continue to use this product with all of my future glove purchases.

Pros: Very nearly game ready. Very good quality that indicates a crafted rather than manufactured product. Excellent value and a solid, if not exceptional, glove for the vast majority of players out there. Aesthetically pleasing to the purist.

Cons: Made in Mexico. Would rather this be made in the USA, but at least it's from North America and not China. Jury out on durability and long term performance.

Pros: A solid glove that is already well broken in. Not a top of the line pro model perhaps, but solid non the less.

Cons: No issues yet, we'll see on durability.

Pros: Soft, broken in, and my kid loves it. Has a great look, and he was playing with it in the field after only 2 practices breaking it in.

Cons: Based on recommendations, picked up the 11.5" for my son playing 3rd and going into high school. Probably should have opted for the 12" model, but he loves it as is.

Pros: Forms really easily. If it is taken care of, the pocket keeps its form incredibly well. Great for pitchers

Cons: Infielders may dislike the lightweight feel, and lack of padding. You can definitely feel the ball when you catch it. Othern' that, no complaints whatsoever

Son named it glue Cool hand Luke parent

Pros: This glove is great! It has given my nine year old son great confidence that any ball that gets in or partially in this glove will stay. Baseballs just seem to stick to this glove!

Cons: I bought it used and it came more used than I thought. Someone had much larger hands than my nine-year-old. But, it still worked awesome, we've upgraded to a brand new one.

Pros: BEST. GLOVE. EVER. Got this glove as a birthday present for my 9 year old who plays P/OF. He loved it from the second he took it out. We oiled it up and it was broke in by the end of the tournament he played that weekend. His team mates love it, his coaches love it. I was looking for a glove that was completely leather, nothing else. This is it...leather, steel and baseballs. I will be hard pressed to buy anything else again.

Cons: Didn't get it sooner. Spent money on other gloves before this.

Pros: Great glove. I did a lot of research and bought it for my 10u travel son. He practiced in it once then played three weekend games with it. It was exceptional at SS, 3rd, P, and okay at first. The mod T makes ball transfer easy. I hope it maintains durability over time. Being a young boy, he also likes being the only one on the field not wearing a Wilson or Rawlings.

Cons: Not enough padding for first basemen. If my son played 1st more often, I would opt for either a first baseman's mitt or a more padded utility/backup glove.

Pros: Have had a glove on my hand since late 1960s...I wish it had been this glove the entire time. The leather quality is incredible, it really is game ready, quickly becomes "your" glove--shapes to hand for comfort and feel. By far, the best glove I have ever owned.

Cons: Still trying to find something to complain about with this glove, but still can't find anything.

Pros: Practice couple times and saw its first two games at shortstop today and it was web gem city up the Middle. He gobbled up everything in site like pac man! Hardly a break in period. Believe the company to be very reputable and back their product if there is an issue. My boy is 15 and a sophomore in high school and pretty darn sure this will be the glove he uses this season in high school.

Cons: None as of yet.

Pros: Great looking glove, I bought it for my 9 year old son. We also previously purchased the break in kit that you can buy from justballgloves and my son wraps it in the rubber bands with a ball inside at night and beats it with the mallet during the day and after about a week the glove is pretty close to being broken in and game ready. We are happy with the purchase and quality of the glove.

NAIA pitcher

Pros: Love this glove! I have used it for the past year, through a full high school season, summer ball, college fall ball, and the beginning of the college year. The interior of the glove feels great, I personally prefer it to the liner of an a2k. creates a nice pocket. By this point, it is very floppy but is NOT pancaked, which is just the way I like my gloves. Pretty lightweight, and doesn't require conditioning very often due to the pre oiled leather. Great classic look. Laces hold up well.

Cons: Some people don't like the plastic inserts as you can't "mold" the glove. I personally don't mind, and think they give the glove some structure. Others have also complained about the padding, but I can say that as a college pitcher, I have no complaints about the padding.

1150MT Pedro Player

Pros: Comparable to more expensive gloves. Quality pro leather. Highly recommend this glove. I have A2Ks and A2000s, wanted to try something new and was not disappointed with this glove. The smell is awesome too!

Cons: Needed a couple weeks of catch to be game ready for my liking. Rubbed leather oil on bottom of palm and left out in the sun to help break in quicker. If you don’t need it for games out the box then it won’t be a con for you.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Shoeless Joe Professional 11.5" Baseball Glove: 1150MT? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

My son is 11, plays on a traveling team, and will play mostly outfield but 2nd and 1st on occasion. Is this mainly an adult glove? He has used his Akadema glove for the last 3 seasons. Smokey
This can be used by adults or younger players. If you need a glove that's made smaller to fit a younger players hand, look for the word "Youth" in the product's name.
Brett
I am 14 and i was wondering if the size of this glove is ok since I am a middle infielder? BJK
For 14 and 15 year olds who play middle infield, a glove between 11 and 11.5 inches is generally recommended. This is a 11.5 inch glove and should work well for you.
JH
If Im 13 playing shortstop and going in to junior league next year and my hand size from wrist to middle finger is 61/4 inches would this glove be good for quick transfer of the ball and a good fielding glove for me? Rasho
Yes, this would be a very good glove for shortstop. Most infields use 11.00-11.50 inch gloves.
Brett
I'm going to be a freshman in high school and I play third base. Is this glove good for third? Aval16
An 11.5 inch glove is a good size for a third baseman at the high school level. This should work well for you.
Sean
My son is 11 yo and plays mostly centerfield and pitcher on a travel team. Is this the right size glove for him? thomoliv7
Generally speaking outfielders use 12 inch to 12.50 inch gloves. This is the perfect size for pitchers. If you are wanting one glove to cover both positions, I would lean toward a 12 inch glove, that is a good multi purpose size.
Linda
My 12 yr old son plays infield, outfield, and pitches. Would you recommend this glove or another? Cp
For a 12 year old who plays multiple positions, I would recommend a 12 inch glove. This would probably be a little better fit for him right now, especially if he plays multiple positions.
Tyler
What is the difference between a "modified trapeze" and a "trapeze" glove? I am looking, in particular, at the 1150MT and th1150TZ? Is the modified trapeze tighter than the other? William
When it comes to the glove webbing, it almost entirely comes down to the personal preference of the player. There won't be much difference between the two types of webbing, but the regular trapeze web may form a slightly deeper pocket than the modified trapeze web.
Tyler
I have two questions. First, where are Shoeless Joe gloves made? Also, how does the leather of this glove compare to the Slugger Omaha Pro series? berad
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series is made in Mexico. The Shoeless Joe will be softer leather and more durable than the Omaha Pro Series.
Kara
What's the best practice to maintain this glove? SmithTX
Applying glove oil or leather conditioner to the glove about once every two weeks will help to maintain your Shoeless Joe glove. Also try and keep the glove out of direct heat and sunlight when you aren't using it.
Tom
I have a 9 year old boy who plays about 60 games a year and I want a good glove for him to use for the next few years. he plays 2nd, center and pitches. Would you recommend this glove for him? blue
For a 9 year old, I would recommend an 11.5" youth glove. A youth model will fit a younger players hand much better. Some of the top selling 11.5" youth gloves are the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Showcase Series: SC1787SS, Wilson A1000 SuperSkin Showcase Series: SCDW5SS, and Rawlings Mark of a Pro Series: TP1150MT.
Tyler
Would this be a good for a sophomore in high school 2nd baseman wanting to use it through out high school? Jack
At 11.5", the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1150MT is a great size for a High School 2nd baseman. However, if you want a glove to last 3 or more years, I would recommend something with a little more durability (something around $200 or more will offer better durability).
Tyler
I like the old school style, when it breaks in is it more on the floppy side? Dymmer
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1150MT will come broken-in from the factory. It will not be floppy.
Brandon
Are Shoeless Joe gloves made in the USA? John
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1150MT, and their other models, are produced in Mexico.
Mac
What size would you recommend for a 12 year old? Alice
The recommended size for a 12 year old in the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1150MT is an 11"-11.50".
Brandon
What makes this glove so good? G.D
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: (1150MT) uses special aged antique tobacco leather and has been individually hand-cut and sewn. Each glove is unique and unstructured. The leather quality is very high, and it will be a long lasting glove.
Merritt
Is this a good glove for a 13 year old utility player? Sam
Yes, the Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1150MT) would be a great glove for a 13 year old utility player.
Brandon
What size do you recommend for 10 yr old? trey
I would recommend an 11.50" pattern for 10 year old. The Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1150MT) would be a very appropriate fit.
Bobby
Is this a good glove for my 12 year old? He plays short, 3rd, and is a pitcher. Tierney
The 11.50" pattern size, combined with the Modified T-Web, makes this Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1150MT) a good choice for a 12 year old who plays those positions.
Mac
What is the best size glove for a 6 year old? DJ
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1150MT) may be too large at 11.50". A better size would be 10"-10.50".
Brandon
What is a flexible infield glove? steven
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1150MT) will feature a more game ready or flexible feel out of the box and should be like what you are looking for.
Patrick
Would you recommend a Shoeless Joe glove for my 12 year old that plays 2nd, outfield, and pitches? What size should he get? I need one that he can use for a few years. jody
Based on his age and positions played, we recommend an 11.50" pattern. The Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1150MT) is an excellent option for a player his age.
Jason
My 11 year old son uses the Shoeless Joe 32 inch catcher's mitt. He needs a fielders glove for pitching and maybe back-up at first base. Is this a good choice for us? Megan
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1150MT) should work well for a player of that age at those positions.
Patrick
Is this glove to large for an 8 year old? Should I have ordered the 1000JR instead? songdog
I believe the Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1150MT) will be too large for an eight year old because it is an adult sized glove. For an eight year old we normally recommend a 10.50 inch glove so the Shoeless Joe Joe Junior Series (1000JR Youth) might be too small for him.
Frankie
I have a red, white and blue vintage baseball glove. It is a number 32 Field Master Hutch with PX Tanned leather (it also said "Jim Rodgers Top Grain Leather" on the little finger). tan
This sounds like a pretty cool option of glove that you have currently. This Shoelss Joe model has a pretty classic look, but not a red, white and blue color way like the glove you are describing. Did you have a question about this Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1150MT)?
Ben
My 7 year old son currently uses a Wilson A800 11.25" glove and I feel like the ball doesn't sit well in the pocket when he catches it. Would this one offer a deeper pocket? coach Joe
This Shoeless Joe Professional Series (1150MT) will have an 11.50" length on it and the resulting pocket will allow a baseball to sit well in the glove. However, this Shoeless Joe has an adult fitting to it that will be a little large for a 7 year old hand. If you wanted a 11.50" length glove with more of an youth fitting to it I would recommend the Rawlings GG Gamer Youth Pro Taper Series (G115PTMT).
Ben
Does this glove come stiff and not game ready? I like them stiff, but was curious on how they come in. jerry
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1150MT will come pretty game ready, and will not require much break in at all. I would not consider this glove to be stiff.
Logan
I am an adult with slightly larger than average sized hands. Would this glove fit me okay? Tmalball
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1150MT is considered an adult glove, and it should fit you just fine.
Jason
Would this glove be appropriate for a 9 year old who plays both infield and outfield? Vince
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1150MT would work in terms of overall glove size for a player at that age playing both infield and outfield, but the actual fit around the hand on this glove is designed for an adult. I would suggest checking out an 11.5" youth glove.
Logan
What's the weight of this glove? BamaBoy
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1150MT weighs 20 ounces or 570 grams.
Logan
Are these gloves American made? incredible fulk
The Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1150MT is made in Mexico.
Cameron
I am 14 and I am going to start highschool baseball. I mainly play 3rd base and pitcher. What size glove should I use? WF
At that age, most third basemen and pitcher's at that age will wear a 11.75" or 12" glove. If you play third a little more, I would lean toward the 11.75" size, such as the Shoeless Joe Professional Series Baseball Glove: 1175TT or the Shoeless Joe Pro Select 11.75" Baseball Glove: PS1175IW.
Logan
This is my first glove purchase in many years. I am playing in a competitive senior softball league and play short and third. I have good hands and prefer a little smaller glove. Is this glove going to be big enough? Shannon Back
Generally speaking, an 11.50" glove like the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1150MT is going to be too small for the slow pitch game. However, if you are comfortable at that glove size then it would have the quality to allow you to compete with it.
Tyler
If I play high school in the spring and travel in the summer and fall how long should this glove hold up? Caleb
It would be hard to say how long the Shoeless Joe Professional Series: 1150MT could last a player with a schedule like the one mentioned. It we were to ballpark it, would venture to say 2-3 seasons.
Cameron
Is glove appropriate for a 12 year old? chuck
The Shoeless Joe Professional 11.5" Baseball Glove: 1150MT is an adult fitting glove for an infielder. This model will likely be too big for a 12 year old.
