Pros: Paid the extra 30 for break-in, absolutly gamr ready. My son was in love at first sight. Its fits him perfectly and hes almost 14. Glad i could purchase an American made product for my son, made sure he understood the importance of that! Glove is a work of art

Pros: So far glove is great. My son (14yrs old) loves the glove. Very nice leather and close to game ready on arrival and I’ll have to say very good looking glove as well. I worked the glove to break in more for practice an game use and now it’s already really close to where you want a glove to be. I believe just using the glove for practice or games going forward is all that will be needed to finish complete break in. Very nice glove so far and worth the money.

Cons: Only had it a couple weeks thus the reason it’s 4 stars.

Pros: A suction cup for a pocket. Very wide, very deep. Nice soft leather so the ball does not pop out. Unlike my Rawlings pro preferred

Pros: Break in: Game ready does not even begin to describe how broken in it is upon arrival.

Cons: Padding: Perhaps not as heavily padded as some, making it a very lightweight glove despite its size. Unless you're coaching college level and above, it's not an issue though. Price: Nokona gloves are expensive (but truly worth it).

Would this work for fastpitch and fit a 12U player? Dana

This Nokona Alpha 12.5" First Base Mitt (S-3H) is technically a baseball mitt as the hand opening is meant to fit an adult male hand. I think that the catching area can handle a softball, but the fitting for the hand will be too large for a 12U female player.

The Nokona Alpha 12.5" First Base Mitt: S-3H does not feature an adjustable wrist strap and with this mitt being an adult model it would most likely not work well for a 12U player.

Gloves that are labeled "Youth" will have a smaller wrist opening and finger stalls than an adult model.
