My son is 8. He has the Mizuno GXC104 catchers mitt. It's getting small, so I'm trying to find the next step up. I like the Mizuno GXC95Y Mitt, but is it too large. I've looked at the Mizuno GXC105 and it doesn't seem any larger than the Mizuno GXC104. Derek

My son just turned 10 and is smaller in size but has been one of the top pitchers in his league. He is interested in catching next season. Would this glove be too big, or what catcher's gear and glove would you recommend? I am looking at the Mizuno Samurai youth catcher set as well. wlee
Does this glove have a deeper pocket than the Prospect? It has been suggested that my 11 year old get a bigger glove. My thoughts are that he's just not receiving the ball properly into the pocket (user error) however I have noticed that the 32.5" Prospect does seem to have a shallow pocket. I'm assuming this is to aid the player in getting the ball put faster. I guess I am asking would this glove be a good step up? WAM'sMom
