Pros: i have large hands 8 1/2" from wrist to tip of middle finger. i really didn't want to get a softball mitt just to get an easy fit. i tried a few others sent them back and ordered this LS. Mitt is stiff out of the box. i used some tanner's oil and was able to start working my hand into the mitt with all the adjustments loose. i keep at it for about two weeks on and off. the gloves fits and covers the lower part of my palm really well. the one reason this gloves work is because your're able to work your fingers in without the crotch of your fingers stopping because of the stitching. the $230 gloves came up short in this area. i used the glove today at practice and it was really nice. played some outfield and was surprised at the dexterity and ease of using it. on sale $69.99
Cons: none

Pros: Fantastic glove. I have used mine for about two seasons as an outfielder and pitcher and am seriously thinking of getting another. The stitching and laces have held up nicely and the break in time was not as long as I expected. Once again, great glove!
Cons: None.

Pros: I've had this glove for two years now and am seriously thinking of replacing it with another. It breaks in well and has a quality feel that is comparable to gloves twice it's price. I would not hesitate to recommend this glove to anyone.
Cons: None.

GMan
Pros: -very high quality feel -features usually only found in gloves starting @ $150-175 (leather lined fingers, steer hide, extra thick laces, pro pattern, great padding) -medium break in time -great deal through Just Ball Gloves (they matched another online store price then beat it with their regular FREE shipping) -great customer service (the CS person on the phone helped me decide between this and a Rawlings Golden Glove by going into the warehouse and checking fit and feel for my bigger hands then called me back within 15 minutes. He was right on as the glove fits and feels perfect for me.) -I don't see myself using the return policy for this glove but a 100 day free ship return is available.
Cons: -None so fer on the glove. -This group has other web sites that specialize in other baseball products but I wish they would make it all one web site.

About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
