This pancake trainer is going to come with a flat catching surafce to it. That feature will require that the user always employ their throwing hand when fielding or making a catch!
The odd shape is going to make it excellent for helping infielders (2B, SS & 3B) hone their skills. In addition to making sure that the throwing hand is used while catching the baseball, the pancake shape is going to allow an infielder to improve their hand-eye coordination, transfer skills and it will cause a player to always stay down on the baseball (as coming up too early from your fielding position with this glove will cause the baseball to roll under the glove).
