Most younger kids either don't know how or don't want to take the time to break-in a glove. That's why Easton has introduced the Game Ready Series, made specifically with the youth ball player in mind. Made from soft tumbled oil-tanned leather, players can take these gloves out of the box and onto the field! Kids generally need a glove that is easy to squeeze, which is why Easton introduces Z-Flex to this series. Z-Flex gloves have elastic strips on each side of the heel, which combined with ultra soft leather, creates one of the softest most flexible gloves on the market! These gloves use Easton's VRS Palm Pad which disperses the impact of the ball to help alleviate sting and make catching the ball more fun. The finger stalls on this glove are lined with Easton's BioDri material which wicks away moisture, keeping players' hands cool and dry. The Game Ready Series gloves feature Easton's patent pending Ideal Fit System. The Ideal Fit System features a contoured index finger channel which combines the flexibility and comfort of an open back with the control of a closed back glove. This control is enhanced by a Lock Down adjustable Velcro wrist strap that ensures a comfortable custom fit for all players! Easton: Know-Feel-Be The Difference. Free Shipping!

Pros: Nice quality leather; should break in quickly. GREAT glove for a beginner (7 yr. old daughter). My son had the same glove and got 2+ good years out of it.
Cons: None so far.

Pros: Right out of the box, this glove was ready to go. I have an Easton glove and always felt it had a deeper pocket than Rawlings gloves that I used prior. Two types of leather are used, the ball catching side, is a stickier type and more durable than the outside part. My son is an advanced level 7 year old player and has small hands which is why I chose this glove. He immediately felt a difference as well as confidence in the ability to catch. The ball just stays in the glove better. The finger holes are tight, which I think is good for a young player to help close the glove and feel the catch. I think he's going to be real happy with this glove.
Cons: The outside leather seems like it could tear easy, but it might be that it's just really soft. My son felt it was heavier than his other glove, not sure it's true though.

There are two glove manufacturers, Nokona and Glovesmith, that have production located within the USA. Easton production can be found in China.

my son has rather large hands for an almost 8 yr old. Would this glove fit or are the finger holes small?
Janet
The particular model is labeled as "Youth" so it has smaller hand slots and finger stalls, specifically designed for younger players. Keep in mind our 100-Day Guarantee Return Policy listed under "Customer Service" on the website.

I'm trying to decide on a glove for our 7-year old. He plays on his league's All-Star and Travel teams so he's fairly advanced. Would you go with the Akadema Rookie Series AJT 99 or the Easton Game-Ready GR11 Youth? I get the feeling that the Mizuno Prospect GPP 1102 and Wllson A450 are for younger, more beginning players. He's a lefty so there's not a huge selection in 11 inch gloves.
John
Both the Akadema Rookie Series AJT99 and the Easton Game-Ready GR11 youth will be good gloves and both should break in fairly easily. Depending on position being played the H-Web on the Akadema will help trap the ball better than the basket web on the Easton.

My son is 6 years old and it's his third season. What size glove does he need? He was using a 10" and it's too small now. He's a left hand thrower.
Tammit81
Based on his age we would recommend a 10.00" glove. However, if the 10.00" is too small we recommend a 10.50" Easton Z-Flex Youth Series: ZFX1051.

My son is almost 8 and playing for 2 years now and needs new glove. What size would you recommend? Thanks!

I would suggest an 11.00 inch model of the Easton Game Ready Series (GR11).

Yes, JustGloves.com will price match a competitor's listed price!
To do so, we verify some information. If you see an item listed at a lower price elsewhere, this is all we require:
We must verify that the website you want to price match is legitimate and an authorized dealer of the products they sell.
We must confirm that the competitor has the same size and product in stock and ready to ship. If the same size and product is out of stock on the competitor's website, we are unable to match their price.
We must confirm if the competitor charges sales tax and/or shipping fees since these are added to the final price of the product.
Lastly, our Glove Experts must check on the cost we pay to stock the item from the manufacturer. The price match must cover that manufacturer cost for the item.
We have the final decision for matching an online price.
Did you purchase a product from us, but noticed that it is now at a lower price? Please let us know, and we will honor our lowest price within the past 30 days by issuing a refund for the price difference or adjusting the price for you over the phone.

(3) - Work it into the web, palm, laces, inside of the glove, & any other area that has become dry or is starting to crack. (4) - When finished, place your glove in a warm, dry area (70 - 90 F) & allow the leather to absorb the conditioner for 24 hrs.
