Bob

Pros: I looked for my son a pitcher/utility glove for a long time. It came down to this glove or the 11.75 CK model. I went with this glove because my son liked it better than the all black. The glove looks even better in real life and the quality is great. You can't go wrong with this glove.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin 12" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB18B212SS? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

I have a 14 year old utility player. He can play any position on the field, literally! However, he plays mostly 2nd and center. Looking to get him a new glove for Christmas. He is wanting a 12" or so Wilson, preferably from the A2000 series. What do you recommend for him that would be a good versatile glove? Robin Johnson
This would be a good option for your player. I would recommend a 11.50" for a second baseman at your age but a 12.50" for an outfielder so the 12.00" option would be a solid choice.
Dan
I am in high school baseball and I was wondering if this glove would be big enough for outfield and pitcher? Mitchel
I think the 12" size should work fine for both positions, as it's right in the middle of the usual sizes used. Generally 11.75"-12" is standard for pitchers, while outfielders like gloves anywhere from 12"-12.75".

I play 2nd and outfield. Would this be a suitable glove for those positions? Anonymous
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin 12" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB18B212SS would be slightly too large for 2nd base (probably want to look around the 11.5" range), but it would work very well in the outfield.
Tyler
Would this glove be good for a 12 yr old pitcher that also plays OF and 3B? What is the preferred method to break in a Super Skin glove? Eric
Yes, I think this would be an excellent model for someone who plays those positions. The 12" size should work well for each spot. As for preferred break-in method, we always recommend just playing continuous catch as often as possible. It's the slowest, but it provides the most natural break in and allows the glove to conform to how the player catches the ball, where they catch the ball, how they squeeze the glove, etc. A good way to speed that up is to sit down in front of a fast pitching machine and catch balls for a bit.
