What sets this glove apart is the XRD extreme impact protection technology that provides ball catching comfort and a significantly decreased break-in period. A lightweight piece of XRD foam is placed in the palm area of each glove to absorb and dissipate any impact energy making the potential for hand sting greatly reduced. The 100% steer hide, pro select leather also contributes to the reduced break-in and since this leather is cut from the thicker part of a hide it delivers a long lasting glove with exceptional durability. Shoeless Joe gloves give a player the feeling and quality of gloves used by professional ball players over the last 100 years. The Gloves are individually hand-cut and sewn from Special Aged Antique Tobacco Leather Hides. Our gloves are then hand-rubbed with old time ingredients to soften the leather before they go through our breaking in process that leaves the Glove with a beaten up and “Game Worn™” look and feel, of a broken in glove. Thus each glove is unstructured giving its own unique feature.
A great play is lived only once, but your glove is something you’ll keep forever. If you end a game with a clean uniform, our gloves are not for you.
