Pro Founders johnnychuck coach

Pros: Like the design and materials seem quality

Cons: The finishing is horrible, laces are twisted with unfinished sides out. Big gaps between glove halves. For $350 expected much better.

Excellent Catchers Glove BMan parent

Pros: bought a used one from this site for my son. He lives it! plenty of padding, high quality leather, in close to new condition. the glove arrived on time.

Cons: where to put the index finger is different then his previous glove. i think the leather just needs to be worked in.

Mason

Pros: Stiff when new, will take some break in time, padding is good, thumb padding is good. Index finger should be outside as the sleeve is tight. I have and use Leatherhead, Wilson a2000, all star cm3000sbt, I have had Nokona and Akadema. I would say this is up there with the best of those mitts.

Cons: index finger sleeve is a little tight,

Do not buy this mitt Josh player

Pros: good quality leather

Cons: poor laces, hard to break in, extremely stiff even after a year of hard use, hand area stretches out very easily and becomes too loose,

catch

Pros: I like the stiffness, but never really got comfy, I gave it about 7 months, but it never became my gamer. leather seems thicker than some other mitts. Perimeter padding stayed stiff. I would love to see this same mitt with a mesh back.

Cons: Heavy...i found it to be about 3 ounces heavier than my preferred mitts. ( I actually did weigh them) Doesn't sound like much but I noticed it and just prefer a lighter mitt.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Marucci Pro Founders' Series: MFGFS335CM Camel Catcher's Mitt? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

My grandson is a freshman in high school. He is 5 feet 5 inches tall and has large hands for his size. For the Marucci catcher's mitt for 2015 in camel, would you recommend the 33.5 or 35 inch mitt? Joann
The size of the Marucci Pro Founders' Series (MFGFS335CM) or Marucci Pro Founders' Series (MFGFS350CM) that you should get would not be based on his size or hand size. Both mitts will fit the same on the inside part of the glove where the hand goes. The difference is pocket size (outsize part of the mitt) which comes down to player preference. Some players prefer a larger pocket for a bigger target and a deeper pocket to catch with, while some players prefer a smaller pocket to make it easier to transition to the throwing hand and maneuver the mitt. The 33.5 inch size would be much more common. Not many players opt for a mitt as large as a 35 inch.

What are the main differences between this and the All Star CM3000SBT? Which one do you think would be better for a freshman in high school and what will last longer? zch
The All Star CM3000SBT will be made of a very durable leather. It will feature an extended pocket and be 33.50" in size. It is very prominent in the MLB. The Marucci Pro Founders' Series (MFGFS335CM Camel Catcher's Mitt) will be the same size and feel a little lighter in play weight. It is also found in the MLB. Either glove would be a top of the line choice and last many seasons if taken care of properly.
Brandon
Will the All Star CM3000BT or the Marucci catchers mitt hold its shape better? necc2015
Both the Marucci Pro Founders' Series (MFGFS335CM Camel Catcher's Mitt) and the All Star Pro Elite Series (CM3000BT Catcher's Mitt) are going to be very similar if not the same in durability since they are both high quality leather gloves.
Frankie
What size is the mitt? jle
The Marucci Pro Founders' Series (MFGFS335CM Camel Catcher's Mitt) is going to be a 33.50 inch mitt.
Frankie
How long is the break-in time? max
The Marucci Pro Founders' Series: MFGFS335CM Camel Catcher's Mitt is a high end glove and it requires a decent amount of break-in time. It is about 40% factory and 60% player break-in.
Jason
Will this glove fit any size hand? Moose
This Marucci Pro Founders' Series (MFGFS335CM Camel Catcher's Mitt) is specifically designed to fit an adult male hand. I would not recommend it for use by a player with more of a youth sized hand.
Ben
What is the difference from the Pro Founders Series catcher mitts to the HTG catcher mitts? benperry
This Marucci Pro Founders' Series (MFGFS335CM Camel Catcher's Mitt) features higher quality Japanese Kip Leather on it when compared to the Japanese Tanned A-Grade U.S. Steerhide Leather used on the Honor The Game series mitt. As well this Pro Founders mitt will get more craftsmanship from the builders at Marucci. Lastly, this mitt is a 33.5" glove while the Honor the Game mitt (HTG325CM) is a shorter 32.5" mitt.
Ben
What's the proper/preferred break-in procedures? Catch
Ideally, the best way to break the Marucci Pro Founders' Series: MFGFS335CM Camel Catcher's Mitt in is to just play catch with it. That way it will break-in to your players hand and catching style.
Jason
Where is the Founder's Series catchers mitt made? johnny baseball
The Marucci Pro Founders' Series MFGFS335CM Camel Catcher's Mitt is manufactured in China.
John
I am 13 years old and 5' 3''. What size catcher's mitt should I get? Owen
Based on your age, I would recommend getting between a 32'' and 33'' catcher's mitt. The Marucci Pro Founders' Series: MFGFS335CM Camel Catcher's Mitt may be a little large. I would suggest looking at the Marucci Honor The Game 32.5" Catcher's Mitt: MFGHG325CM instead.
