Pros: Price was slightly less than other gloves.

Cons: My son did not like the glove at all. The appearance he liked but did not like the leather or feel of the glove. Got a blister on his pinky finger after the first day. Would not recommend this glove. Sent back in exchange for a Rawlings which was only 40 dollars more.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Marucci Pro Founders' Series: M13FG1200P? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

What is the leather quality and what is the break-in like? Carl
Marucci uses one of the most quality leather types which is the standard among professional players. It is Japanese kip leather- it is very tight and clean and requires gradual break-in but holds its form and shape for a long time without getting floppy.
John
I am an infielder, but I pitch some also. What is the best glove length for me? JoJo
Because you play both infield and pitch, the best glove for you would be 11.5" T-Web model. The 11.25" I-Web is ideal for middle infield. The 11.5" T-Web will hide the ball better as a pitcher and is a good infield glove for not just playing second base or shortstop but also third base.
John
Marucci makes great wood bats, but what makes their gloves special? Why should I buy a Marucci glove over another brand who has been making them for longer? Dale
Marucci's development process was based around MLB players and their feedback. They took significant time working with their Player Advisory Board to perfect the features that are the most important. Gloves were worn by MLB players on-field for the entire 2013 season, which was a full year before they were released to the public. They are individually handcrafted, one by one, which gives them a higher quality look and feel and are made of some of premium materials.

There is a feature that says 'minimal heel padding for better feel and break-in'. Can you tell me what that means and how it will benefit me? Ricky
Most gloves have a traditionally thick material in the heel area connected to the thumb. This adds unnecessary weight and takes a long time to form how the players wants. Marucci minimizes this padding and it helps the feel and break-in process.
Katie
Too big for a 10 year old? Dave
The Marucci Founders' Series: M13FG1200P is an adult glove, recommended for ages 12 and up. The finger stalls and wrist opening will be too large for the average-sized 10 year old.
Katie
When will you guys be getting the new color variations (toffee, gumbo, mesa) and the new gloves (12" modified trap/closed, 1B, and Catcher's mitt) in that Marucci just came out with? Nick
At this time I really have no idea when the new colors will be in to us. We currently only have the Marucci Founders' Series (M13FG1200P) and other black and tan models in stock.
Brandon
I am between this and the Rawlings PRO1179DM model. I am 16 and looking for just a pitching glove. What model in your opinion would be better? dconigliaro
The Marucci Pro Founders' Series (M13FG1200P) will have a stiffer feel compared to the Rawlings PRO1179DM. It will hold a better shape and feel more heavy in play weight. The Rawlings will break-in more easily and play lighter due to the mesh material backing. Either glove would be great for a pitcher.
Brandon
Where is it made? andrew
The Marucci Pro Founders' Series (M13FG1200P) is made in China.
