Description

Known for their catcher's mitts, All Star has brought the same quality to the rest of the diamond with their System Seven Series. These gloves draw from the success of their mitts and use the same high quality leather found on their popular CM3000 model. This Japanese Maruhashi Black and Tan leather has distinct properties that allow these gloves to break in fast and have long-lasting durability. The tan leather on these gloves helps it to break in fast and form a great pocket. The black leather's stiffer feel provides the support needed for a long lasting glove. Inside, All Star's Pro Guard Padding provides a thin layer of extra padding in the palm that helps kill the sting of miscaught balls, yet is thin enough to still allow the player to know right where the ball is in the glove. This 12.75 Inch pattern features an conventional open back and a long, deep pocket. Its six finger web is perfect for snagging fly balls or line drives in the outfield. Pros: I was shocked at the quality of this glove. I purchased mine as "Used" from Just Ball Gloves as "Good Condition". This glove was slightly broken in when I received it, but it feels similar to the A2000 with the A2K softness. Feels like a large 12.75" with a deep pocket. Slowpitch Softball players...this size is perfect. Baseball players looking for a 12.75", this feels a little larger and I would recommend the 12.5".

Cons: Laces are soft.

Pros: This is a very high quality glove for a good price. The break in time was comparable to a Rawlings Pro Preferred (a little over 2 weeks). Still in great condition after about a year.

Cons: Laces are soft.

T

Pros: Very nice leather, stiff enough to be durable and feel high quality but didn't take a ridiculously long time to break in (I was specifically looking for a reasonably priced glove that requires some break-in). I would say it compares to significantly more expensive gloves from other brands. I use it for slow pitch softball with no problems... feels good playing catch-up with a baseball too.

Cons: None for my purposes!

Have a question about the All Star System Seven Series Baseball Glove: FGS7-OFL? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

What would the break-in period for this glove be? I am looking for a 12.75" glove under $200.00 with a break-in period of less than a month. Any suggestions? outfielder
The All Star System Seven Series: FGS7-OFL will have an easy break-in. Break-in time will depend on how much you use it in that period. You might also consider the Mizuno Classic Pro Soft Series: GCP79S.

Are you able to provide a description of a used glove (how broken in it is, etc.) and do you offer the 100 day guarantee for used gloves? Also, would the pocket on this glove fit a softball alright? T
Used gloves are priced based on Condition and typically rated as excellent and good. Excellent being better condition than good. Used gloves come with a two week guarantee that allows you to send it back if you do not like the condition. The All Star System Seven Series (FGS7-OFL) is a baseball glove but should accomodate a softball. However, if will not have as deep of a pocket if as a softball model.

How does this model stack up to the Wilson A2000 or A2K? Looking for quality as well as endurance. BB
The All Star System Seven Series: (FGS7-OFL) will be very similar in the sense, this model will be very high quality, and will also last quite a while as well because of it's strong Japenese Maruhashi Black and Tan leather. Therefore, this model will be one of the top contenders such as the Wilson A2000 and A2K.

How long would the break in take? cc
This glove might take several weeks to break-in depending on how often you play catch with it due to the high quality leather. The better the leather of a glove, the stiffer it will be when you receive it.
