Description

If you've ever played catcher, you've likely heard of All Star mitts. For years, All Star's catcher's mitts and equipment have been highly regarded among those who play the position. This season, for the first time ever, All Star has released their own line of fielders gloves called the System Seven Series. These gloves draw from the success of their mitts and use the same high-quality leather found on their popular CM3000 model. This Japanese Maruhashi Black and Tan leather allows these gloves to break in fast and have long lasting durability. The tan leather breaks in fast and forms a great pocket, while the black leather's stiffer feel provides the support needed for a long lasting glove. Inside, All Star's Pro Guard Padding provides a thin layer of extra padding in the palm that helps kill the sting of mis-caught balls, yet is thin enough to still allow the player to know right where the ball is in the glove. This 12.50 Inch outfield pattern features a conventional open back and a long, deep pocket. Its Six Finger web is perfect for snagging fly balls or line drives. All Star: Move Forward. Rise Above! comparable to an HOH or a2000 wolves34 player

Pros: worth the price. the black leather on this glove feels most similar to the oily feel of the rawlings heart of the hide while the tan leather is more of a buttery feel like the wilson a2000. this glove comes very stiff but breaks in fast.

Cons: little dead space in the fingers, but thats just me

Is this glove very stiff at first? And is this a good fit for a 12 year old outfielder? Angel
The All Star System Seven Series: FGS7-OF glove will have a slight stiffness at first, but the Japanese Maruhashi Black and Tan leather allows these to break in fast and have long lasting durability. This glove is a 12.5" pattern. For a 12 year old outfielder I would recommend an 11" - 11.5" pattern.

How would you compare this glove to a Wilson A2000 or A2K? bennyb1522
The All Star System Seven Series (FGS7-OF) would be similar in quality to the Wilson A2000 Series (A2000BBKP92) but would not quite be on the same level as the 2015 Wilson A2K Series (A2KRB15KP92). They are all nice options but the A2K is a slightly higher quality leather and a more premium glove. the trade-off is that the System Seven and the A2000 are a bit easier to break-in.
Patrick
Can I see a picture of the used glove? frank salazar
Unfortunately, we do not have pictures of the All Star System Seven Series (FGS7-OF) available currently. The used model that we currently have in stock is rated in "good" condition which typically means that glove has some scuff marks from being used and will show development of the pocket as well as some signs of oil being applied.
Joe
I am wondering which glove has overall better quality: this glove or a Wilson A2000 JH32? Tim
Actually, the All Star System Seven Series (FGS7-OF) and the Wilson A 2000 Series glove will compare very well with each other. They will both have very stiff leather types and take a while to break-in. They are both very durable and will last many season with proper care. Either glove would be a great selection!
Brandon
Is the used glove fully broken in yet? Does it look really used or just slightly used? Damian
The All Star System Seven Series: FGS7-OF that we currently have in a used option is listed in "good condition." This glove will be near, if not completely, broken in and will look like a used glove. This glove will feature leather discoloration due to glove oil that was applied during the break in and will feature scuffs and other marks on the leather from use.
Cameron
Does this glove have anyone's name written on or in it? Damian
The All Star System Seven Series: FGS7-OF will not feature anyone's name in the palm.
Cameron
Is this glove good for using two fingers in the pinky slot? Dylan
The six finger web on the All Star System Seven Series: FGS7-OF will have about the same ability to put two fingers in the pinky stall as any other web type. There is lacing on the pinky stall that can be adjusted in order to create a looser fit that will allow for two fingers to fit comfortably.
Angelique
What's the difference between this FGS7-OF model and the FGS7-OFL model? Is it just the size? jszab
Yes, the big difference between this All Star System Seven Series (FGS7-OF) and the FGS7-OFL will be the length. (FGS7-OF = 12.5" / FGS7-OFL = 12.75").
Ben
I'm a 14 year old baseball player and I was wondering what size glove would you recommend for outfield and infield? seabass
There really is not a good glove to use for both infield and outfield play. The All Star System Seven Series: FGS7-OF features a 12.50 inch pattern and would be best served in the OF only. Most OF's will use 12.75 with some going smaller at 12.50 and others going slightly larger at 13.00. For infield, the sizes range from 11.25-11.75 depending on position and preference.
