Description
Akadema is the most exciting baseball and softball company in the world. Their increasing market share can be attributed to their innovative quality and professionally designed product line. Focusing on the quality, feel and small details has lifted Akadema to the next level. With a goal to provide products for all ball players, Akadema has created the new Prodigy Youth Series (AOZ91-12). Constructed from U.S. Steerhide throughout the pocket and webbing, the Prodigy Series provides ideal toughness and padding. On the back of the glove, this series features the exclusive AkademaLyte leather that decreases the overall weight. This not only allows these gloves to be more easily playable, it also significantly decreases the break-in time to the point where these gloves are virtually game-ready out of the box. With the younger player in mind, Akadema slightly narrowed the finger stalls on these gloves to provide a more snug fit. Akadema: Bring Your "A Game"!
Warranty
Akadema gloves will come with a manufacturer’s warranty of nine (9) months from the purchase date. This warranty will cover ripping and tears of the leather of the glove. It will not include ripped laces -or- scuffing of the glove’s leather, binding or welting. If you feel that a warranty issue has arisen with your Akadema glove that was purchased from JustGloves and it has been 9 months or less since the purchase, please contact the Glove Experts from JustGloves. The Glove Experts are knowledgeable of the warranty processes and can help you get set up with directions for doing a warranty replacement with Akadema.

Pros: The AOZ-91 easily broke-in, took about 3 days of playing catch and one treatment of glove oil. The glove leather is soft yet very durable. My son loves the feel of the glove on his hand and the high quality leather/padding appears to have eliminated any stinging. This puts many higher priced adult gloves to shame.
Cons: None after 2 months of regular use.
akadema boy
Pros: -My son has got many akadema gloves but he says this ones the best. -easily broke in after 3 days -great feel and padding
Cons: none
Youth Fielder
Pros: Purchased for 8 year old and he loves the glove. Playing catch around the house and broke in after 5 sessions. Made it through 78 games 8 year old coach pitch and now 12 games into kid pitch.
Cons: None after complete season.
DG
Pros: Only had it a few weeks but so far my 11 year old son loves it. It fits his small hand well and still has a large enough surface area to get to a lot of balls. I will know more when season starts.
Cons:

Cons: breaks down to fast.

Akadema Prodigy 11.25" Robert Parent
Pros: I got the AOZ-91 for my son for his 8u season. He is now in his 12u season and still loves this glove. An awesome infielders glove that lasts!
Cons: I wished Akadema made these in larger sizes. My son has out grown his and needs to move up in size. He wants another AOZ-91. But unfortunately the 11.25" is the only size they make.
Good glove, but coming apart already RYAN B TYRRELL Parent
Pros: Easily broken in, position versitile
Cons: Welting is already coming apart after less than a month and maybe 10 hours use.
Flawed? Chris Parent
Pros: Breaks in fast.
Cons: Maybe we got a flawed glove but the lining isn't connected to glove so when you try to close it the fingers just move inside the glove because the leather is so soft. This makes impossible to wrap the glove around the ball and close the glove tight. I wish I would have realized this earlier my kid lost his spot on 3rd because balls kept falling out of this glove.
Thumb, pinky and heel WONT BREAK IN! Edman Parent
Pros: Pretty durable so far.
Cons: Thumb, pinky, and heel of the glove are still EXTREMELY HARD after one year. It’s difficult to open after a year of use, then steaming, and finally got glove treatment. We showed our pitching coach (played pro ball 6 years) and fielding coach (college infielder) and both said something is wrong. They both said it felt like there was a piece of hard plastic in it.
Great intermediate glove Chad Gould Parent
Pros: Nice balance between structure and workability. Not too difficult to break in. Great quality for the price.
Cons: None

About the Brand
In Akadema's short but remarkable history it has become one of America's hottest baseball and softball equipment company for professional, college, high school, and serious youth players. The Akadema phenomenon started with the Professional Glove Series and continues with the Reptilian®, Praying Mantis®, Pro Soft™ and Prodigy™ Glove Series as well as the Amish Wood™, Tacktion™ and Xtension® Aluminum Bat Series. Akadema's ownership attributes increasing market share to their innovative professional baseball and softball product line in contrast to mass-produced products that have little to do with quality, feel, or design to raise the level of play.
Akadema's products are manufactured for professional players but are now accessible to semi pro, college, high school, and serious youth players. Akadema products are still designed with the professional player in mind but competitively priced for the professional player at heart. So it's your turn to think like a professional, play like a professional, and use Akadema Professional!
Akadema now has both baseball and fastpitch softball advisory staffs that they work with closely to implement new ideas. Members of the baseball advisory staff include Hall of Famers Ozzie Smith and Gary Carter as well as Howard Johnson, Reggie Smith, Luis Polonia, Sandy Martinez and many others. Fastpitch stars that are on the advisory staff include Crystl Bustos and Julie Smith. The input on performance from the advisory staff gives Akadema something they cannot put a price on. Their advisors don’t talk about marketing or places to sell the gloves, they just care about performance.
