Description

Breaking in a glove isn't the rite of passage it once was. Some folks still like to spend hours a day for weeks molding their glove just right, yet others would rather take their new glove right to the field. If you're a fan of the already broken-in feel, the new Wilson Game Ready Softfit series is the glove for you. These gloves feature Wilson's Ecco Leather which is game ready and engineered to specifically provide softness on the first day of ownership and keep its durability for years to come. Players are not sacrificing protection with a game ready catcher's mitt. The Softfit series is made with 2x Palm Construction which places a thin piece of leather between the palm liner and outer shell. This creates ideal pocket stability and maximum protection for your hand. These gloves also have a lower profile heel to make the glove even more flexible. When Wilson was trying to come up with a name for this series, they figured they'd just tell the customer what the glove is: Game Ready. Soft. And It Fits. Enjoy. Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson Game Ready SoftFit Series: A0800BBCM34 Catcher's Mitt? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

I am in high school, I am wondering if this would be a good glove to buy, I have a big hand and the glove seems big enough. Also, would it hold up to 85+ mph? Astant28
The Wilson Game Ready SoftFit Series (A0800BBCM34) will be a good size if you are in high school and it should have no problem handling 85+ mph pitches. Also, hand size shouldn't be an issue with this glove since it is be the adult model with the adult size hand stall.

How does this glove compare to the Mizuno World Win (GXC75)? Which has more padding? Rob
The Wilson Game Ready SoftFit Series: (A0800BBCM34) Catcher's Mitt will have a little bit of added padding, as well as a bonus leather palm liner for extra protection. However, the Mizuno World Win Series: (GXC75) Catcher's Mitt does incorporate ParaShock Technology, which is designed to reduce shock and absorb the sting. Therefore, both models are well equipped with protection technology. However, ParaShock Technology does tend to be a top of the line technology for shock absorption. Both models will be fairly game-ready, even though different types of leather are incorporated. The Mizuno World Win Series: (GXC75) Catcher's Mitt will have a slightly bigger pocket, and features Pro-Scoop Technology to help players catch and release quickly, and efficiently.

Does this glove have quality padding? Lil Freese
Checking the Glove Features for additional padding technologies, and looking at customer reviews on the product page, will provide the best insight into whether a glove has good padding. I do not see any negative reviews for the Wilson Game Ready SoftFit Series (A0800BBCM34) Catcher's Mitt that mention a lack of padding.

What size is the this catcher mitt for me? I'm 5'4" tall and weight 205 and 15 years old Edgat11
For 15 year-old players, we usually suggest using mitts with a 33.00" circumference. There is a chance that the Wilson Game Ready SoftFit Series (A0800BBCM34 Catcher's Mitt) could be a little large for you, I would try looking at a catcher's mitt with a 33" circumference. I would note that here at JustBallGloves, we do have a 100 day guarantee on all our gloves that allows customers to purchase a glove and use it, then if within 100 days of the purchase they decide that the glove is not to their liking they can send it back to us for a full refund or exchange. Ultimately you would risk no money if you wanted to try out any glove offered at JustBallGloves!
