At 11 years old, I would probably recommend a model within the A1K line from Wilson. The A1K line is built to fit players that need gloves featuring an intermediate fit. I would recommend an 11.50 length glove (to meet the needs of his position) and the specific glove to look at in the A1K line is the following: Wilson A1K Pro Staff Series Baseball Glove (A1K0SA4DP15). The Wilson A500 Series: A05RB16115 and the Wilson A550 series gloves will be very similar in design and construction and would be the higher quality lineup of gloves when compared to those of the A450 Series. The main difference between the A500 and the A550 series will be the more snug fit with the A550 as well as the reduction of heel padding to allow for an easier close. The A450 Series is constructed from pigskin leather (the other two models are constructed from top grain leather) and does not feature the double palm construction - this helps prevent premature wearing of the leather in the palm.
