Description

Some gloves were just made for greatness. The A2K from Wilson was created with unparalleled craftsmanship, giving players the highest quality glove they'll ever slide on their hand. These gloves were meticulously developed with a focus on durability and a break-in faster than you can imagine. Made from Pro Stock Select Leather, these gloves use only the top 5% of hides and were triple sorted for consistency and flawlessness. This unbelievable consistency in the leather leads to a stronger pocket and an all around higher quality glove. These A2K gloves feature Rolled Dual Welting where strips of Pro Stock Leather are skived thin and rolled to provide long-lasting shape - while still allowing for a quicker break-in. Inside, a thin, strategically cut piece of leather is placed between the palm and outer shell, providing maximum pocket stability and a quicker break-in. This 2x Palm Construction also provides maximum shock resistance. A2K gloves reflect the time that Wilson's craftsmen have put into each glove. These master technicians spend 3x longer pounding and shaping the glove by hand at Wilson's factory - reducing the break-in time for the player. Wilson put everything they had into this glove - and then styled it with their iconic Wilson tan and jet black to celebrate their 99th anniversary. Wilson: More Win! Free Shipping!

Pros: I like do to a break in service for all my fellow ballplayers. I practically feel like Aso. This glove is VERY stiff when you first receive it. The thumb and pinky are both slightly curved in. It is very good size for a utility position, whether its a pitcher, third baseman, or outfielder. It is all round a fantastic glove and I'm sure my friend will love it when I get the break in started. -Durable -Comfortable for standard finger placement. -Perfect pitcher, outfield, third basemen glove (Utility).

Cons: The pinky stall is built to C.J. Wilson's SPECIFIC desire, since this is his A2K model. He puts all of his fingers in the respected slots on the glove, with no adjustment lace for the pinky. This means the pinky stall is very tight, and will be highly uncomfortable if you try to have both the pinky and ring finger in that stall. If the leather were to stretch over time, it would be great and extremely comfortable, but for the first few weeks, it'll be uncomfortable to have on for more than a few minutes at a time. This model is extremely durable and the leather is tough to maneuver (a little stiffer than my A2K B2) but will be fantastic and perfectly molded when it is done right. -Stiff but worth it. -SMALL pinky stall, difficulty with two fingers over. I hope this review helps anyone considering buying this model!

Cons: Not great for taking ground balls at 3rd or the middle infield, so its primarily a pitchers glove. PINKY STALL IS TIGHT

T-GOD

Pros: This god is very good looking. Has big pocket. I worked on this glove for 4 days straight is still not broke in which means it is quality leather. Soft, smooth feel. Lighter than my custom barraza (mexican glove company).

Cons: Pinky stall is tight, but loosens up after awhile on your hand.

Pros: nice and stiff with catching doesn't show much when pitching.doesn't break in too much doesnt get soooooooooo floopy like rawlings.starts off stiff but very easy to break in took me a good week to break in. great glove A2K are always great especially this one.

Cons: pinky stall a little tight if you play with two in the pinky like me you really gotta stretch the pinky out. also if you have skinny hand good thing to do is relace the wrist. overall great glove worth the money

Pros: Good leather comes very stiff but works in fairly quickly, have had for 2 months now and it is fairly broken in after just playing catch with it. Would reccomand for a pitcher/outfielder as it feels bigger than 12 inches.

Cons: Pinky stall is very tight and I put two in that stall. Hurts for a couple weeks until the stall stretches out

Pros: Quality leather, minimal sting when caught in the palm, nice-looking glove.

Cons: The pinky hole is too small to fit two fingers. I don't like to play with two fingers in the pinkie hole but this glove is so stiff it may be necessary. The thumb strap is set in such a position that it doesn't really hold your thumb. This can cause you're glove to slip out of your hand when you don't want to. The pocket of the glove doesn't form very well. I have watched all of the videos Wilson has made on how to break in the glove and done everything according to those videos. The effect seems to be minimal. I have played with this glove for a whole season and waited to evaluate the glove so that my evaluation would be accurate. I really wanted this glove to work but now I am in search of a different one now.

I play 2nd base and a lot of outfield. I'm 14-years-old and am looking for a good glove for my high school seasons. Is this glove right for me? cheeks
Yes. The Wilson A2K Series 12.00" model would be a good fit for an outfielder that also plays 2nd base. The A2K Series uses some of the highest quality leather on the market.
Mac
I just bought this glove and I was wondering how often I should oil this glove? Jimmy23
It depends on how often that you use your glove. During the season I would oil it once a week.
Chad M.
My 13 year old has smaller than average hands and plays outfield and 3rd base. Is this a good choice? Louie
The Wilson A2K Series: A2K0BB3CJW will fit more snug than some other gloves. The 12.00" design is ideal for pitchers. This length will probably be a little too large for infield and a little too short for outfield. If you had to choose just one glove, I would recommend going with the infield length and using that for outfield.
Justin R.

Hi, I'm 12 years old and my league only permits 12'' gloves. I would like an A2000 12'' glove for outfield, any suggestions? Baseball234
Yes, the Wilson A2K Series: A2K0BB3CJW will be a 12" glove that features better leather than an A2000. This model: Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: BBSSDW5 would be a great choice for an A2000.
Brandon
I play select and school ball. I play 3rd, outfield, and pitcher. Would this glove be good for all these positions? mcd18
The Wilson A2K Series (A2K0BB3CJW) is an excellent utility glove for a select ball player. The 12" pattern is ideal for a player that plays multiple positions.
Jason
I am 16, and I'm an outfielder and a pitcher. Would this glove be good for both positions? Julian
You could use this Wilson A2K Series: (A2K0BB3CJW) in the outfield if you felt comfortable with it. The 12.00" pattern size is the Pitcher/Utility pattern size meaning that you could compromise and use this in the outfield too. It's just a bit smaller than the 12.50" to 12.75" recommendation for that age of outfielder.
Mac
Why did the price drop on this? Is there something wrong with it? crashinj
No, there is nothing wrong with the Wilson A2K Series (A2K0BB3CJW). It has been discontinued as the new Wilson A2K Series C.J. Wilson Model (A2K0BB4CJW) replaced it. Because it has been discontinued, we have placed it on closeout.
John H
Do you have this in stock for left handed thrower? cherise
Unfortunately, no. We only have the Right Hand Thrower model of the Wilson A2K Series (A2K0BB3CJW) left in stock. We also run a live inventory on our web sites. So any option your are able to select will be in stock for you.

Does any kind of glove conditioning oil work to break-in this glove? Is Wilson glove oil recommended? I have Akadema oil. Deets
It is suggested to use Wilson glove oil with the Wilson A2K Series (A2K0BB3CJW). However, any glove oil or conditioner works just as well.
Jason
Is this an outfielders mitt? thenextharper
The Wilson A2K Series (A2K0BB3CJW) is CJ Wilson's game model and is best suited for P/3B.
John H
Is the leather on an A2K equivalent to a Rawlings Primo or Pro Preferred? aj
The leather on the Wilson A2K Series (A2K0BB3CJW) is similar to the Rawlings Pro Preferred.
Kara
I am looking for a high quality glove under $300 that I can play pitcher, short stop, and third base with. Is this a good model or would there be other models that would be better? lb#2
The Wilson A2K Series (A2K0BB3CJW) would be a good option and a very high quality glove. It would be better for third and pitcher but may be a bit long at short stop. However, if you are able to still maneuver the bigger glove well it could work for short as well.
Patrick
Would you recommend this or the Rawlings Heart of the Hide Dual Core PRO12MTDCC as a utility glove for me? Eric
Both the Rawlings Heart of the Hide Dual Core (PRO12MTDCC) and the Wilson A2K Series (A2K0BB3CJW) would be great options. The main difference would be that the Heart of the Hide would be more game ready but the A2K, once broken in, may keep it's shape a bit better over the life of the glove. Both are nice options though.
Patrick
Would this glove be hard to use in the infield? Like how much harder is it to use a 12 inch glove in the infield than a 11.5 inch glove? bobby
Ultimately, it just depends on what you are most comfortable using. 11.50" or 11.25" gloves are typically chosen by middle infielders because it allows them to get the ball out of their glove quicker for a throw. But many third basemen use gloves that are 11.75" to 12.25". I really wouldn't be able to tell you "how" much more difficult it would be to use a 12.00", but you can definitely check this glove out under our 100 Day Guarantee.
Mac
Is there any major differences between the A2K0BB3CJW and the new A2K0BB4CJW? .338
The Wilson A2K Series (A2K0BB3CJW) and the A2K0BB4CJW are very similar gloves. They both use the same type of leather and are both 12" patterns. The only difference between the gloves is the cosmetic look of the gloves.
Jason
I play mostly outfield and some shortstop and 3rd base. I was thinking about this glove or the 2015 sattle tan and brown glove. What would be a better pick? I'm 15, 5'8" and playing high school ball. DatDudeGR
The Wilson A2K Series (A2K0BB3CJW) and its 12" design would be a perfect utility size for you. It would allow you to play infield and have a large enough pocket to catch balls comfortably in the outfield.
Brandon
Would this glove be good for outfield and pitching in middle school? Jack Baseball
The Wilson A2K Series (A2K0BB3CJW) is a 12.00" size which is what I would suggest for a middle school outfielder. It is also a suitable glove for pitching since it features a modified T-web. It will feature an adult size hand stall, so if you player has smaller hands, it may not be the best fit.
