Description

Since it's introduction in 1957, the original Wilson A2000 Series has set the standard for premium quality ball gloves. Developed together with engineers, craftsmen and Major League players such as Evan Longoria, Greg Maddux and Ivan Rodriguez, the A2000 Series is the ultimate defensive tool. Used on MLB fields since 1998, the A2000 SuperSkin models were developed to be as lightweight as possible, without sacrificing performance or durability. SuperSkin repels moisture and reduces the overall weight of the glove while still being 2x stronger than conventional leather. The SuperSkin models strategically place American Pro Stock leather at certain points to give it even more rugged durability. This durability is enhanced even further with Dual-Welting pre-curved finger design that helps the pocket keep its shape and stay stable. This 12.00 Inch model features an H-Web and is ideal for infielders looking for a glove with the lightest possible play weight. Put millions of hours of passion for excellence in the palm of your hand with a Wilson A2000 SuperSkin glove! Wilson: The Official Glove of Major League Baseball. Free Shipping!

Do you recommend using Rawlings Glovolium to help break in this glove? Matt
We would recommend using Wilson's glove oil to break in the A2000 SuperSkin: BBSSDW5.
Damon
Does this glove require for two fingers in the pinky or can I just put my hand in the glove normally? Flex
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: BBSSDW5 can be worn normally. You do not have to put two fingers in the pinky stall.
Kara
Is this glove the same specs and everything and the orange and blue DW5? Syg
There are a few differences between the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: BBSSDW5 and the Wilson A2K Series: A2K0BB3DW5GM. The A2K is made from Pro Stock Select Leather (top 5% of the hides) and features 2x Palm Construction. The A2000 is made from Pro Stock Leather, just a step below the Pro Stock Select, and features a SuperSkin backing to reduce the glove's weight and repel moisture.

Should I purchase the BBSSDW5 or the DP15GM? I have a good arm, and the glove I use now is a 12 and a half inches with a basket weave. AC
It really depends on the position you play and the pattern size you're most comfortable with. But assuming you're playing third, the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: BBSSDW5 would be a more common option and is closer to the size you have been using. The DP15GM is usually preferred by middle infielders with the 11.50" pattern size but could be used at third if you liked a smaller glove.
Mac
I have a 11.5 inch Wilson A2000 and wont need a new glove until about 8th grade. What size glove should I get? I'm a center fielder. Bman
Typically, an 8th grade outfielder will be using 12" to 12.50" model. The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (BBSSDW5) is a 12" model and would be a great option for the majority of 8th grade outfielders.
Jason
I am a utility player that mostly plays third base, but sometimes second base. Would this glove be good for me? Would a smaller model be better? Gonzo
The size of a glove depends mostly on what you feel most comfortable using. That being said; the average size of an adult middle infielder's glove is between 10 inches and 11.5 inches. The typical third basemen uses a glove between 11.75 inches and 12 inches. If you were looking for something to use for both, either an 11.5 inch or 11.75 inch glove would be the most common options. The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series will offer a lightweight, durable option in both of those sizes.
