Pros: This glove is FANTASTIC! It is super stiff which is good so you can break it in to your hand better. It has great pop when you catch it and top quality leather.

Cons: It is a little snug on your hand. It could be because I have somewhat big hands but just a little stiff.

Pros: This glove is light because of the superskin. It has the top quality leather that stays hard, unlike the Rawlings, this glove will last several years before becoming like a wet paper towel.

Cons: The only con is that they don't offer it in all black anymore. However, this glove still looks sharp.

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A2403 BBSSM1 Catcher's Mitt? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Is this a new model of the A2000 catchers mitt? How is it different from the previous model (I heard the previous A2000 33.5" super skin catchers mitt is discontinued)? John
The Wilson A2000 Series: A2403 BBSSM1 Catchers Mitt is the newest model of the A2000 SuperSkin 33.5" mitt. Both use the same high quality, pro stock steerhide leather.
Kara
Would a 33.5" mitt be a good size for a high school junior? Chris
I would typically recommend a 33.00" catcher's mitt to a high school junior. But if you prefer a slightly bigger glove, the 33.50" Wilson A2000 Series: A2403 BBSSM1 Catchers Mitt would be a great choice.
Marcus
Will this glove have a lot of padding? master of disguise
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A2403 BBSSM1 Catchers Mitt has great padding.
Kara
I'm 11 almost 12. I'm 5' 3.5", but I have big hands. What size would be good? Greggy
The recommended size for an average 11-12 year old catcher would be a 32" mitt. But with your larger hands the 33.50" size of the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A2403 BBSSM1 Catchers Mitt may feel fine.
Brandon
How does this glove compare to the old Wilson A2000 SuperSkin catcher's mitt? The all black, black laced, 33.50" model they no longer sell. Taylor
I believe the mitt you are referring to is the A2000 SuperSkin: BBM1SS. This Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A2403 BBSSM1 Catchers Mitt will offer the same feel and durability as the BBM1SS. Both feature Wilson's Pro Stock American Steerhide leather, a 33.50" circumference, Half Moon Web, and SuperSkin back for a lightweight mitt. The improvement to the newer model is the addition of the Dri-Lex Technology which is an ultra-breathable wrist lining that transfers moisture away from the skin while the older model does not.
Mac
What is the break-in period for this glove, and how does it compare to the Rawlings Heart of the Hide Game Day Series: PROCM43BP28 Catcher's Mitt? Which one has a shorter break-in time, and which one will be more durable? I am looking for a mitt with thinner, but high quality, leather much like A2000 fielding gloves, but have never tried a catchers mitt. Would this fit that description? Catcher
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A2403 BBSSM1 Catchers Mitt) will be slightly more durable than the Rawlings Heart of the Hide Series mitts. The SuperSkin material will allow for a quicker break-in period and a lighter play weight also.
