Pros: This glove is awesome ! Love the colorway and the superskin, its a great combo. This is actually only my second superskin and the weight reduction is significant, the glove is super light compared to the traditional full leather shell.

Cons: Traditional welt instead of rolled welting palm feels really thin.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB15DW5SS? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Why did Wilson make a 12" H-Web? 12" gloves are typically used by pitchers and H-Webs are never used by pitchers for obvious reasons? GloveGenius
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB15DW5SS) is David Wright's glove for third base. He uses a larger 12" size for the hot corner and prefers an H-Web.
Brandon
Can this glove be used for pitcher/infielder for slow pitch softball or is the web designed for baseball? miggy
Yes, the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB15DW5SS) would be fine for infield play in slow pitch softball. The pocket is large enough to use in softball.
John
What would you recommend for infield and pitching for slow pitch softball? This glove or the Wilson A2000 Series: WTA20RF15H1175 Fastpitch? Is the 11.75" too small? mike
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB15DW5SS) will be 12" in size. It will be able to be used for slow pitch softball in the infield. The pocket depth will also be deep enough for play. 11.50" and 11.75" would probably be too small.
Brandon
Will this glove or the Rawlings Heart of the Hide 12" Adrian Beltre hold its shape better over time and not become floppy? Also which one will be bigger? I know that they are both 12", but which one will have a bigger hand slot and which one will have a bigger, deeper web? wilson warrior
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB15DW5SS) and the Rawlings Heart of the Hide Adrian Beltre Gold Glove Winners Series (PRONP5TLB) are both high end models from their respective manufacturers. Generally with gloves, the price point is going to be your best insight into the quality of leather and the durability of the glove. With both models being priced around the same price, this means they will have about the same durability. All gloves have chance to become floppy over time, it will truly depend on how often the glove is used and also if proper glove care technique is followed with your glove. Both models run true to size, so they will fit similarly as well. Between the two, I would say the PRONP5TLB may have a slightly deeper pocket.

My son plays a lot of third base and short stop. He is playing high school ball this year. Will this glove work for both positions? Does it take long to break-in? Mike
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB15DW5SS) is typically used by third basemen because of it's 12" pattern. It can be used for middle infield as well, but it ultimately comes down to the players preference. Third basemen have more time to get rid of the ball, so a bigger glove works for them. A middle infielder usually uses between a 11.25" and 11.75" glove, because their reaction times have to be quicker. The A2000 is a high quality glove and does require a decent amount of break-in time.
Jason
Would this glove be good for outfield? Taylor
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB15DW5SS) model is intended as a utility infield model. It could be used as an outfield glove; however, we would recommend possibly looking at a larger glove.
Joe
Would you recommend this for a 13 year old third baseman? baseball68
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB15DW5SS) would be a good design for a third baseman of that age.
Patrick
I have had a Rawlings glove. I am a 3rd baseman and wanted a Heart of the Hide, but this glove is what I want. Would this be a big change? Joey
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB15DW5SS) is very similar in quality compared to a Rawlings Heart of the Hide. Both series require similar break-in periods and have similar life spans. A Willson A2000 and a Rawlings Heart of the Hide are both high end glove options.
Jason
Would this glove be suitable for all around the infield? Z
The 12 inch pattern that is featured on the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB15DW5SS) is typical of a utility player and should be good for use at most positions.
Patrick
I am an outfielder but I don't like wearing a glove that is too big, would this be a good choice for me? Will
A 12 inch model like the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB15DW5SS) would be a good size for an outfield model that would not be too big or bulky.
Patrick

I play middle and outfield. I am not sure if I should get this or an 11.75 inch glove, but I really like this type of web. I am 12 years old and play travel ball. I do not know if I should get a 12 or an 11.75. Please help. Anonymous
Either a 12 inch size like the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB15DW5SS) or an 11.75 inch style like the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB151787SS) would work for your age and positions. If you like the H web style of web, I would go with that style.
