Pros: lasted for about two years of high school-summer-fall baseball (about every day)

Pros: By far the best catchers mitt model known to man. I get a new 1790 every year or so for my seasons, (I play all year around at the collegiate level). I have used other gloves but nothing compares to these. If I didn't catch so many ball games every year I don't see why this mitt wouldn't last you a high school career. Make sure you break it in correctly, don't take shortcuts because if you do the lifespan of your mitt has gone down the toilet. It takes me a month and a half to break these in with boot oil, forming, receiving with pitching machine set at 90mph. You need this glove!

Cons: None.

Great Glove Carl player

Pros: Some of you guys have no clue what you're talking about.. I'm a catcher at the college level. When you're buying a glove like this of course its going to be stiff. Thats the quality of the leather. And knowing that of course its going to take awhile to break in. I have an all star and a A2000. Had both of them for a couple years still stiff and not floppy. Which is something you want when you get to the higher level

Cons: nothing

What is the difference between this model and the Wilson A2000 Pudge? bigmarc
There will be a couple differences between the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB151790SS Catcher's Mitt) and the Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB15PUDGE Catcher's Mitt). The first difference being the circumference of the mitts. The A2000 SuperSkin will be a bigger mitt with a 34" circumference and the A2000 Pudge Model will have a 32" circumference. The biggest difference is going to be that on that back of the A2000 SuperSkin mitt there will not be a leather backing, but a "SuperSkin" backing. SuperSkin is a lighter material and its presence provides an easier break-in for the entire mitt. The A2000 Pudge Model will have a a leather backing which will make the break-in process for the mitt longer.

Is there a Wilson A2000, 34 inch catchers mitt that does not have SuperSkin? gatorbeast
It looks like most of the 34 inch designs of the A2000 line like the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB151790SS) Catcher's Mitt will have the SuperSkin material. It may be that with these larger mitts, they use the SuperSkin material to try and reduce the overall weight of the mitt to make it feel less bulky.
Patrick
Does this model come in a different size like 33"? Kreagan16
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB151790SS Catcher's Mitt is only made in a 34" pattern. The Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB15CM33 Catcher's Mitt is the model available in a 33" pattern.

Which mitt is harder to break in: an A2K or A2000? johnny
This Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB151790SS Catcher's Mitt) will have slightly softer leather than an A2K glove and be easier to break-in. The reason is because A2K gloves use the slightly higher quality Pro Stock Select Leather that typically comes more stiff.
