Is SuperSkin a material that will be an improvement for a glove? Mark
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: (A20RB151613SS) First Base Mitt is an elite model because it features a combination of Pro Stock Leather and SuperSkin. SuperSkin is 2X stronger than leather, and it is also light weight. I'm looking for a glove for my travel-level son, who is 11 years old but the size of a 13 year old. I was thinking of either the Wilson A2000 12.25 inch (A20RB151613SS) or the Wilson A2000 12.00 inch (A20RB152800). What are the advantages of the double break verus the single break and which is better for a kid? Also, overall, would you recommend one of these gloves over the other for a kid? Steve
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB151613SS) First Base Mitt is very similar to the Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB152800) First Base Mitt in regards to performance and quality. Both gloves are ideal for serious baseball players. Essentially the double-break allows for the ball to be caught and pressured from two angles, while the single-break allows the one angle. For a younger player, depending on hand size, the 12.00 inch model might be a better idea.

I am looking for a glove that is very durable and very stiff but catches very well. I would like it to be 12.5 inches. I have the Wilson A2000 11.5 pro stock infield glove. So hopefully this first base mitt has the same feel as that glove. jparrish_6
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB151613SS) will have similar quality leather but will also feature the SuperSkin material which makes the glove feel lighter overall. It is a high quality mitt that should be very durable.

I have had this glove for about 70 days and it still feels very stiff. Is that normal? Do Wilsons take longer to break-in because all mine have broken in faster than this glove. chase
The A2000 SuperSkin Series gloves like the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB151613SS) should have a fairly standard break-in process for high end models. The more you work with it, it should start to feel more game ready. If you do not feel like it is the glove for you and it was ordered through our site, you can return it through our 100 day return policy for an exchange or refund.

I have two months left in my season. If I get the glove now, do you think the glove would be game ready quick enough if we have 6 practices per week? smittysmith19
